U.S. Debt Actually $200 Trillion?

  1. It's up the government. Either we continue to degrade into Socialistic economic craphole or revitalize Capitalism and employ people.

Bets are on the government doing the wrong thing, of course. (What's the "right thing"? Study Calvin Coolidge if you don't know.)

  2. I pretty much feel the same way. The people that have to rely on jobs here are screwed. Like you I'm global. It doesn't affect me directly but indirectly it does.

  3. National Debt Up $3 Trillion on Obama's Watch

New numbers posted today on the Treasury Department website show the National Debt has increased by more than $3 trillion since President Obama took office.

The National Debt stood at $10.626 trillion the day Mr. Obama was inaugurated. The Bureau of Public Debt reported today that the National Debt had hit an all time high of $13.665 trillion.

The Debt increased $4.9 trillion during President Bush's two terms. The Administration has projected the National Debt will soar in Mr. Obama's fourth year in office to nearly $16.5-trillion in 2012. That's more than 100 percent of the value of the nation's economy and $5.9-trillion above what it was his first day on the job.

Sadly it surely looks like he is yet another failure to fill the Whitehouse.

Can't you US guys find a better man/woman for President ?

There MUST be somebody in the 250 million people !!

    Such great hopes too :(

Seems to be turning sour - all hype and little substance as usual

  6. Sadly, we American voters are simple, naive, and stupid. We accept the notion that there are "only 2 choices".. Dem or Repub.... and whomever promises the most "free ice-cream", gets the vote.

Obama campaigned on the premise of "fixing all the country's ills.. especially the wrongs by Bush".

    Collectively, we "bought it".

Unfortunately IT WAS ALL A LIE! Obama said what he needed to garner the vote, BUT HE NEVER INTENDED TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON ANY OF IT.. except the one promise to "transform America"... we all thought that meant "transform it into something good.. to right the Bush administration wrongs"... but what he REALLY meant was to "transform America into a Communist-like society and economy".

If we had understood that, he would have never been elected.

Shame on us for being so naive, stupid, and greedy.

Yes, but will any new President have such a great looking family with a couple of cute puppies?

That unfortunately is what politics has come to now because it's how the great unwashed tend to vote - image rather than substance as you allude to yourself.

Not picking on the US, it's the same in most western countires.

Exactly. The MTV generation, hip, good-looking prez and family. Who cares that he wasn't the least bit qualified and uses Chicago thug tactics? As long as Michele wears her sweater backwards (front page article on Yahoo today), America will be fine.
