  2. If I were President and tried to run the country in a dictatorial fashion as has Bush and now Obama....

    1. I'd stop the warring and bring the troops home... and have them securely defend our borders, as necessary. Let the rest of the world fight their own battles. We should not and cannot afford to be "policeman to the world".

    2. We have approximately 1,000 military bases around the world. I'd close all but the 50-100 most important... maybe even more. Between stopping the warring and closing military bases... would save $1T of the budget deficit.

    3. I'd seal the southern border, post a lot of signs to warn illegal immigrants.. then SHOOT VIOLATORS ON SIGHT. In about 2 weeks, all illegal crossings would stop.

    That'd be just for "starters"...

Before the elections, I saw many cars with Obama bumper stickers right next to anti-war, "bring the trooops home" stickers. I guess a lot of stickers have been removed, cause I hardly see them any more.

Afghanistan is messier than ever and there are still at least 50,000 U.S. troops as well as other gov't types/defense contractors in Iraq. That whole "pulling out of Iraq" thing was nothing but a political ploy.

  4. Capacity utilization, a measure of slack in the economy, edged down to 74.7 percent, 4.2 percentage points above the year-ago level but still 5.9 points below the 1972-to-2009 average.

70% of GDP is Consumer Spending. This country will be in Debt for the rest of it's existance if we do not get Manufacturing roaring again.

  7. Not a "snowball's chance in Hell". Anyone with something to manufacture will consider labor costs in Asia. America will lose out EVERY time... unless (1) The $USD is trashed so that labor in the US costs about the same as labor in China. Unfortunately, that will mean the bankruptcy of nearly ALL Americans, and (2) tariffs and trade embargoes with low-labor-cost countries... primary, China. And it's hard to imagine our having much in the way of import restrictions so long as we keep begging them to buy our debt and finance our deficits...

  8. Somebody please forward this $50 million information to the white house. I want to know Obama's response to this $50 million information. Why is the main stream media not reporting this information?

  9. News crawler over the weekend... "Foxconn (China), with 1.3 million employees, planning to build a new $10 Billion manufacturing facility in mainland China"...

Anything like that going on in USA?

  10. Well then, if the move is not to strength'n Manufacturing in the US, then I guess the majority of Americans will loose their jobs. It is outa my hands but I'm tapp't into the Global Market. The future of my networth does not lay in the hands of the US. However, I live in the US and would like to see a return to capitalism not Corporate Socialism or Paper pushing jobs with zero substance.

The end result of Ayn Rands "Atalas Shrugged" could be the very future that American may be forced to accept.
