I've been watching wion lately on YouTube. They are pretty good. News is diverse and their opinion is carefully balanced as they make every effort to show both sides of a story. I suppose it won't last but at least for now its decent.
WION is an Indian multinational English languagenews channel headquartered in New Delhi. It is owned by the Essel Group and is part of the Zee Media network of channels. According to Indian news magazine The Week, the channel covers global news and current affairs from an Indian perspective. The name WION is an abbreviation for World is One News. + + + Nothing wrong with a news organization having an Indian perspective, same as NBC/ABC/CBS/FOX/PBS having an American perspective but I try to read from multiple sources - American and others. Don't care to watch any.
In all my time online I've only found a single news site that is the closest to balanced as possible, and that is thehill.com They report their news in an apolitical manner whether it is detrimental or good to either party, and they regularly have opinion writers from both sides of the political spectrum. Their comment section is mostly liberals, though depending on the story ot might be heavy commenters on either side. Their actual reporting is presented in an apolitical style, unless it is an opinion Guest writer. They are the only site I've seen truly stay central in this manner. All other sites lean, in some way, mostly to the Left or Right. So they should be commended in that respect.
