tws paper error messagge "commodity segment does not exist"

if i try to trade future or option this error messagge appears only in tws paper version

I have not experienced that error message. However, I believe that it relates to the account setup. An IB account has an "securities segment" and a "commodity segment". You may want to verify that your paper trading account is correctly set up to trade futures.

 

i can't set up the paper trading account to trade or not futures...
i think the problem is due to account migration after brexit

 

In that case you'll need to contact IB and ask them to help you set up things correctly.

they told me this is a known problem and they try to solve it.

I have the same problem since account migration for IBIE.

I have contacted support two days ago and they didn't even replied up to this moment.

Also, it's not possible to make currency conversions in real account.

 

I have the same problem on my new paper account. My old paper account was not migrated, so I had to create a new one and this error appears when I wanted to buy futures.

 

Got the same problem with a new paper account after migration. Hopefully it is resolved quickly by IB...

I have just tested and it is still not working.

No replies from IB...

 

Some more information, to avoid people to be taken by surprise:

I had to reconfigure some of my trading permissions and also my customized statements and its delivery method.

FX Conversion still not working...
