Do any IB users use QT to execute trades instead of TWS?

Is it correct to assume that QT is considered an API and that if you, for ex, cancel an order, you are charged for it?

  2. I use IB's Book Trader or the Total View screen to enter trades.
No reason for me to use Quote Tracker to input trades as the IB options work fine for me . The key to using TWS is to configure your Hot Keys .

  3. Whether you're charged for a cancel does not depend on how the order was entered. You can use any interface, like QT, Buttontrader, or TWS itself.

I take QT just for charting, I really think it is one of the best charting programs available for little money.

For order execution I would never choose QT. Just try Button Trader or NinjaTrader, if you want something more comfortable than TWS.

The API of TWS allow to connect QT and Ninja or Button Trader at the same. It least I could to it.
