I deleted some charts in TWS and the booktrader and it seems a lot better now.

  3. Quotes are coming in bunches and occasionally I'll get pink borders for a few seconds but the quotes still update.

Besides dumping any features in IB, I also reduced the number of charts I had running in QT. Slight freezes at times but not like 3-4 minutes like Tuesday.

IB's performance over the past few days has been unacceptable.

  7. Mess up quotes during 1 st hour. Now TWS seem to stablize.

no brokers platform is reliable in fast markets as orders/messaging begin to overwhelm the systems. I chose to stay flat while this occurs as the risk of getting shitty fills or not getting filled at all increases dramatically. IB has been about 95% satisfactory for me over that past 5 years so I don't hold this against them. Other brokers can't be accessed at all which is at least not the case with IB.

  10. I also have to say that IB's current performance is not acceptable.

However, considering the last years, I am still a very satisfied customer.

One has to admit that this incredible surge in volume was completely unexpected. If someone told me a week ago that 10 million ES trade within 3 days ... you know ...

So, I think IB has to learn from this. Most likely, it means: more servers, more bandwidth and more stability/stress tests
