I'm trying to link the sample .xls file to tws but I can't seem to get it working. I have dde and activeX enable in tws. Entered my user name on all pages Have read thru their help file (and followed along) Tried their existing symbols and a few of my own I just want to enable data and depth for the es mini I'm not sure if this is suppose to work out of the box or if I need to do something to the xls file in addition Any help appreciated
Enabling the DDE Clients feature is only one part of the process for connecting the TwsDde.xls sample to the Trader Workstation. You will also need to ensure that the latest version of the API components have been properly installed on your computer. These components can be found on the Interactive Brokers web-site. http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/control/apicontrol.php?ib_entity=llc Your Excel spreadsheet and the TWS must be closed in order to successfully install these components.
