TWS API updateAccountValue()

Discussion in 'Automated Trading' started by traderum, Dec 17, 2009.

  1. I once knew this but unfortunately can't remember what it was:

    What do the "-C" and "-S" versions below mean?
    (they are delivered by the TWS API in the event method updateAccountValue(..)

    Key=EquityWithLoanValue Val=16899.78
    Key=EquityWithLoanValue-C Val=0.00
    Key=EquityWithLoanValue-S Val=16899.78

  2. Hmm. I think C stands for "Client", and S for "Server". Right?

    Hoi

    No !
    C= commodies
    S=Securities

    Just look in TWS: menu: View/Account.....and understand !

  4. Oh, yes, indeed that makes much more sense. Thx! :)
    But are you sure C stands really for Commodities, and not for "Cash",
    as the word "Commodities" is used nowhere on the Acct page?
    Just wanted to be sure...

    Hoi

    Sorry.......but you need spectacles......

  6. I'm sorry to say that it's IMO you who needs spectacles as there is neither on the Account window nor in all the raw data delivered by API any mentioning of the word "Commodities".

    Never mind, it's not that important anymore.
