TWS Advisor Acct Bug

  1. I'm testing the Advisor Account in TWS, ie. an advisor can manage multiple accounts.
    When i tried to issue an order for the group account then I get the attached error message.
    There is enough capital available. This must be a bug of TWS (cf. the "nan" value, ie. it means "Not A Number",
    ie. floating point error).
    Anybody else had this issue?
     
  2. Hmm. there are even much more bugs with the Advisor Account... :-(

    You seem to be playing with the Demo system. IB does not do a super job with all the features in the Demo. Try your Simulated (Paper Trading) account for much better handling of margin testing and other features.

  4. I've been using an advisor account for 4+ years without any major problems (sure TWS problems but they were not related to the advisor account). Who knows what's going on in the demo account....
