Twitter and Musk

  1. I am sure that Baron is able to capture and cut the data in many ways and would respond truthfully to an advertisers request in the form that the advertiser wants it, where possible. Most advertisers have an interest in the average number of site visits per day- not the number who might have registered at some point in the last 20 years.

Elon is trying to run a business, not maintain the voter rolls for Chicago with all the dead folks.

Advertisers care about the unique number of daily views, not the number of registered users.

Eliminating a large number of accounts who have not logged in for years will not impact advertising rates or revenue.

  5. Elon is moving to surround himself with people who he can trust or who he simply wants there.

Not illegal. You pay 44 billion to take a company private and you do not have to get approval from anyone else.

You may piss off a lot of professional Elon haters but that is not necessarily bad thing.

Also, don't be surprised if Elon's cousins have more skills than some of the people who were sacked.

Musk signals long-form tweets are ‘almost ready’

(Dec 10): The days of being constrained to just 280 characters in a tweet may soon be over, after Twitter Inc owner Elon Musk signalled that the long-form post is “almost ready” for deployment.

Musk has been actively engaging with users’ suggestions for how to improve the social media platform since his US$44 billion (RM193.75 billion) takeover.

The billionaire has been issuing a flurry of pronouncements on the site. On Friday (Dec 9), Musk said in a tweet the company would start telling users if their posts have been suppressed, while giving them an avenue to appeal.

Elon Musk to win back lost advertisers on Twitter, introducing new controls for ad placements

Elon Musk is making yet another effort to bring back lost advertisers while also attracting new advertisers to Twitter platform. The company will soon introduce new controls for ad placements, which will allow companies to prevent their ads from being displayed above or below tweets that contain certain keywords.
