Musk is just another bullshitter when it comes to talking about family values, and protect the children until when free speech is involved.

this is nothingburger in call centers. my summer job in late 80s was in a customer service center to troubleshoot computer, i don’t like it. customers are dumb, we are the smart kids. everyone wants the rma number to send the computer back for diagnostics, which costs company money and time. all we can tell them is to reboot and reinstall the shit, fixed 99% of the problems.

It should be noted that Elon Musk has personally restored the accounts of people who posted child sexual abuse material multiple times. This is not the first instance.

Ex-Twitter safety exec slams Elon Musk's move to reinstate account that shared obscured image of child being tortured: 'This guy blew up my life by saying I condone pedophilia and then he turns around and does this.'

    • Yoel Roth slammed Elon Musk's decision to reinstate a user that posted a child torture image.
    • The ex-head of trust and safety said the decision contradicts the company's policies.
    • The account was suspended for four days before Musk reinstated it on Wednesday.
Yoel Roth, Twitter's former head of trust and safety, took a dig at Elon Musk's decision to reinstate an account that had posted an obscured image of a toddler being tortured.

"Have been tagged a few times on this one, so let me just say: It's insane to write 'we have zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation' while also arbitrarily reinstating accounts that share CSAM," Roth posted on the social media site BlueSky on Wednesday, referring to child sexual abuse material.

X — formerly known as Twitter — reinstated the account of Dominick McGee, who had reportedly posted the image that appeared to violate the company's policy on such material. The Washington Post reported on the posting of the image, which the publication said had been obscured from the original; McGee told the publication he'd posted the image to draw attention to child sex trafficking, the Post reported.

McGee is an online personality popular among far-right conservative circles and QAnon conspiracy theorists. He told Insider that he had only shared a news article and not child pornography.
    .....

Roth, the site's former head of trust and safety, wrote on BlueSky that he found Musk's decision to be confusing.

"I'm sorry, just have to post a big ol' lol about the fact that this guy blew up my life by saying I condone pedophilia, and then he turns around and does this," Roth wrote on the rival site.

Roth has said he was forced to flee his home last year after Musk baselessly implied in more than one tweet that Roth had a permissive view of pedophilia — a tactic commonly employed by the QAnon conspiracy movement and one Musk has used before.
In 2018, the Tesla CEO famously called a British cave diver who helped rescue a group of boys that were trapped in a cave a "pedo" on Twitter, spawning a defamation lawsuit that Musk later won.

Roth had worked on Twitter's trust and safety team for more than seven years before he resigned in November following Musk's acquisition of the company.

Elon breaks a bunch of local laws and regulations to put up a big flashing X sign without permission. Musk won't let building inspectors on the roof -- the remedy for this should be to turn off electricity to the entire building.

Elon Musk’s New Flashing X Sign Is Infuriating Neighbors: ‘It’s Hard to Describe How Bright It Is’

San Francisco Inspectors Still Can’t Get On Roof To Inspect Elon Musk’s New ‘X’ Sign
    https://deadline.com/2023/07/x-logo-permits-san-francisco-headquarters-elon-musk-twitter-1235450978/

The San Francisco Department of Building and Inspection says it has been unable to inspect a new black “X” logo on the roof of Elon Musk’s social media company formerly known as Twitter for two days in a row after the company declined access to the structure.

It’s the latest in the push and pull between the city and Musk since he formally changed Twitter’s name to X this past week as part of the company’s overhaul following Musk’s $44 billion acquisition in October.

On Tuesday, an attempt to remove the company’s iconic blue-bird sign and logo from its Market Street headquarters was rebuffed by city officials who said there was no permit filed, leaving only the “er” remaining from the Twitter logo and one of the birds de-blued.

Fast forward to Friday, when a large black X was erected on the roof of the building, prompting a notice of violation filed with the city for work done without a permit. Any replacement letters or symbols require a permit to ensure “consistency with the historic nature of the building” and to make sure additions are safely attached to the sign, said Patrick Hannan, spokesperson for the Department of Building Inspection.

According to the department’s complaint page after a “notice of violation” was filed, the inspector assigned to the case on Friday “spoke with Tweeter [sic] representatives and Building maintenance engineer representatives. I explained BID’s complaint investigation process and requested access to roof area. Tweeter [sic] representative decline to provide access but did explain that the structure is a temporary lighted sign for an event. I explained to all representatives that the NOV requires the structure to be remove with a building permit or legalize.”

On Saturday, the same inspector reported a “2nd attempt to gain access was performed on 7/29/23 after conversations with property manager on 7/28/23. However, upon arrival access was denied again by tenant. The original NOV document issued on 7/28/23 was redrafted and issued on 7/29/23.”

Despite all of it, Musk pinned an post atop his X page overnight showing the lit X logo on the roof — and wrote he was committed to X staying in San Francisco despite the city being in a “doom spiral with one company or another left or leaving.”
