And what is this Salon? Pretty obvious they lean to the left in a big way. I just looked at their politics page.

You're old enough to know that any story can be spun in multiple ways. There's always two sides.
I personally don't follow what happens in Turkey so I have no idea what this is all about, but I do think Elon Musk is a brilliant individual with the best intentions for all at heart. And while I may not know what goes on in Turkey, I'm a pretty good reader of people.

As I look into this Turkish "strongman"... a picture speaks a 1000 words. What's up with this?

Elon Musk is antisemitic... His abuse of the ADL makes it very clear.

Elon Musk takes aim at the Anti-Defamation League after CEO says his tweets ‘will embolden extremists’
    https://forward.com/fast-forward/54...ceo-says-his-tweets-will-embolden-extremists/

Hours after tweeting that George Soros “hates humanity,” Elon Musk bashed the Anti-Defamation League, appearing to draw praise from a series of white supremacist accounts on Twitter, which he owns.

On Tuesday afternoon, Musk tweeted, “ADL should just drop the ‘A.’” The tweet implied that the group, which is the most prominent antisemitism watchdog in the country, should instead be named the “Defamation League.”

    This:

So why didn't that article cite any examples of these Tweets?
Can we see which accounts these came from?
    I'd like to see them.

Yet you didn't read to the bottom of the article which outlines some of the white supremacist responses.

An account called “White Power Ranger” tweeted, “The ADL is a jewish supremacist foreign lobby/spy group.” Another with an avatar of Pepe the Frog, a cartoon that has become a symbol of the alt-right, tweeted a cartoon of a traditional fascist symbol along with the words, “We’re back.” Another posted a GIF of Adolf Hitler smiling alongside the message, “Based.”

It's easy enough to go look at Musk's tweet on Twitter and see all the responses from white supremacist accounts -- if you are truly interested in seeing all of them directly.. IMO the article does not need to quote all the white supremacist nonsense -- and shouldn't.

    So these are two individuals?
Are you saying stuff like that is never found on FB or the like?

The article makes it sound like these are large organizations with an account. If it's two nut-jobs... bfd.

Yes... the white supremacist individual accounts on Twitter love Elon Musk. He is their hero.

Previously many of these accounts were banned. Now, thanks to Musk, they are back and posting their continuous hate and abuse.

And somehow certain people don't comprehend why nearly all the major advertisers left Twitter. Would you want your brand associated with this crap? With a CEO who promotes it and cheers it on.

Ok, well like I said, give him time.

But you have to look at it like this.
    He bought a business.
Maybe he should have kept his mouth shut and never bought it, but that's neither here nor there now. They had ~$1B cash in the bank and a burn rate of $250M month. In 12 months it would be $2B underwater on the liability side of the balance sheet.

A business is a business. Drastic cuts were needed. He took the employee count from whatever it was, 8300 to 1800, and he cut out a bunch of other stuff too.
Now he has it where it might go cash-flow neutral in 8 months. That's a good start, he can start gradually building things back up, including whatever measures are required to nix this stuff.

And wasn't that stuff on there before anyway?
So... whatever. He opened his mouth and got stuck with a business.
But it's not a non-profit and he is a businessman... so, there's gonna be some growing pains on the comeback.

CNBC had the head of the ADL on earlier.

He said he knows Elon personally, and "he's NOT an anti-semite".

    --->Case closed. :cool:

You are claiming that CNBC had Jonathan Greenblatt on the TV in the past week?
