If Musk had any respect for U.S. national security agencies and their corporate non-disclosure agreements then he would have kept his mouth shut. But Musk has no respect for his responsibilities, nor does he have any respect for the truth. Most of the nonsense that comes out of this mouth is complete bullshiat. Allowing Twitter 2.0 to be overrun with neo-Nazis and hate speech has nothing to do with the "1st Amendment" or being a "21st century town square". This is Musk's golden opportunity to provide evidence to back up his DM claims. Seeing that his "Twitter Files" nonsense turned out to be a complete nothing burger.
How was it a nothing burger? What would you expect the outcome to be? He got the word out there and it was the truth. The Administration or Party that was responsible for this, isn't going to do anything. Don't be naive. And again... what are some examples of neo-nazi stuff that are still on the platform? That stuff popped up before he owned Twitter. It was censored and taken down. Are you saying that's not happening now because he fired his staff? Well, I'm sure if it is, and it's reported, it gets taken down. And also Elon will fix it if it is still occurring. The man is a man of incredible, unfathomable abilities to get get things done. Yes he jokes, and yes he bullsh*ts, but when he's serious, he's serious.
We have entire thread here outlining Musk allowing previously suspended neo-Nazi accounts back on to Twitter, removing any reasonable control of hate speech on the platform, with child sexual abuse material and hate speech on Twitter 2.0 reaching record highs, etc. Yet you ignore the facts and reality. All the while nearly every claim coming out of Musk's mouth is proven to be pure bullshiat.
GWB is still ass-chapped about the loss of a medium where his side can't control the dialogue. Its mostly COVID related, and he's backed the wrong horse for quite some time. So context is needed here.
And no...That's bs. We have a right to know if a platform as powerful and ubiquitous as Twitter has become in our current culture, willingly provided the welcome mat to an all you can eat buffet for government bs that was heavily leaning to one side.
Well, then give me a live twtr link where one of those re-instated accounts has posted something inappropriate that is still there for public view.
So as users continue leave, nearly all major advertisers have left, news networks are dropping the platform, features such as APIs that make the platform useful are removed, outages occur nearly daily, privacy concerns have increased as network security is nearly non-existent, and revenue has dropped to record lows -- somehow you think this paints a good picture for Twitter 2.0. Twitter will fade to irrelevance, just like MySpace. Remember MySpace, formerly the largest social networking platform dominating the internet -- they claimed it was powerful and ubiquitous -- and nothing could overtake it.
Well... hey... I am all for that. If people don't like it... a business goes tits up. Time will tell. I don't think it will, but, I could be wrong. I guess we'll see.
