Twitter and Musk

  1. Our little googler has been chugging away as usual.

"Elon had no involvement in selling Paypal."

Yeh sure. He got a good chunk of cash from the sale as a result of his "no involvement."

And I am not going to replay the whole "was or was not a co-founder" discussion that you haters like to regurgitate. There was the whole X.com, Confinity, company structure that eventually became Paypal. So there were founders who were founders on paper in earlier iterations of the company but not when it transitioned into Paypal, blah, blah, blah, whatever.

Elon is the second richest person in the world and a serial entrepreneur. You can go google search by google search - as you do every day- and make the case that Elon never did anything, anywhere, and is a complete failure. What does it get you? He is still the megar-rich and has enormous accomplishments with more to come and you are still stuck on stupid masturbating over the possibility that he might slip on a banana peel and make your day.

    FAIL. Beta male, soy behavior.

Such a ridiculous criticism of Musk as founder or not of PayPal... Who gives a crap?!? Musk stands on his achievements with Tesla and Space X and 3 other companies he hopes will be successful. Anyone with any experience starting businesses knows the tremendous work and risks involved. But those who don't try get nothing. You may not like the man (and he deserves some criticism) but please enough with the rejected teen girl's pouting!

Let's list out the facts regarding Musk and Paypal as bullet points. Instead of re-directing, tell us exactly which of the bullet points you don't accept as facts and why. Otherwise we will conclude that you agree that all the bullet points below are factual.
    • The first digital payments version of Confinity was launched in 1999. It was founded by Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, and Luke Nosek. Cofinity is the company which eventual became Paypal.
    • A similar but smaller payments company, X.com, was founded by Musk, Harris Fricker, Christopher Payne and Ed Ho. Musk served as the X.com CEO.
    • In 2000 Confinity acquired X.Com in a merger.
    • Elon Musk was appointed CEO of the combined firms still known as Confinity in April 2000.
    • The merged Confinity did not turn out to be successful with Musk as CEO.
    • Elon Musk was fired as CEO in October 2000 citing his failed leadership.
    • Peter Thiel took over as the CEO of the merged company.
    • The company got rechristened as PayPal in June 2001.
    • PayPal launched its first IPO in February 2002.
    • Paypal was purchased by eBay in October 2002 for 1.5 Billion.
    • From the eBay acquisition Elon Musk received a payout of $180 million for his stake representing the equity from X.Com.
Yet Elon Musk has somehow continually peddled that he was the founder of PayPal and the pioneer of the digital payments industry.

BTW -- Elon's brother, Kimbal, never worked at X.Com, Confinity, or Paypal. You must be thinking of Zip2. As a reminder, Elon Musk was immediately stripped from being CEO of Zip2 and replaced with Richard Sorkin when the company got funding and Musk was no longer the majority owner. Richard Sorkin and then Derek Proudian as CEO were responsible for most of the company's success and eventual sale to Compaq for $307 million.

  5. We have established many times over that, according to you, Elon never did anything, anywhere and is a complete failure. And yet he is the second richest person in the world.

And you? You will probably google around all day to see if Gregg Abbott or Matt Gaetz have any cousins that ever had a foreclosure or a bankruptcy.

The original point that has sent you off on to another ridiculous day of googling was that I pushed back on your dismissal of Elon not being capable of setting up a payment system as part of an improved Twitter. You keep googling away. I stand by my assertion that he is fully capable based on his other accomplishments. All your hate does not change that.

So you concur that all the facts presented in the bullet points are correct.

  7. Did not read it.

Market opens for most of us fairly soon.

You have googling on Matt Gaetz and Elon Musk to do.

I stayed with the original point, and reiterated it rather than go down your ratholes.

That point being that, yes, Musk is fully qualified to implement a payment system into Twitter.

Elon Musk is the Donald Trump of the tech sector. Musk regularly fails to pay his vendors, abuses his employees (regularly cited as a bad boss), and lies to his investors (so what's his latest claim on self-driving cars). Elon Musk is an narcissistic, temperamental, vengeful self-promoter with minimal management or leadership qualities with a thin skin. His companies were successful despite Elon not because of Elon. His financial success is effectively due to his con games; even the people in the industry who have worked closely with Elon such as Peter Thiel call him a fraud. The Twitter purchase fully pulled back the curtain and publicly revealed Elon for what he actually is.

Only people who hero worship Donald Trump and Andrew Tate hold Elon Musk as a person to emulate.

  10. As I have said before, if Elon had not come out and said that he leans Republican now, GWB would be fine with everything.

If he were still Democrat, then he would just ignore everything and turn the dials up on Matt Gaetz, Trump, Marjorie Taylor Green, and Greg Abbott. When he gets up in the morning, he has a full list of people to hate. If Elon had remained Democrat, he would still be okay. He is never going to run out of people to hate. Pretty said in some ways. He started out a few years ago by proclaiming that he was still a conservative but just did not like Trump. Then month by month he just turned into a full time hater which is classic lefty demeanor and view of the world.

Oh, how did I leave DeSantis off of that list? Shame on me. Apparently I need a desktop app to keep track of all the people GWB feels he needs to hate to be the person he wants to be.
