Tweetdeck sucks ,as does twitter. But is there a

  1. Not the problem I've talked about. Useless for it as a matter of fact. No diff than staring at tweetdeck.

  2. Yes, well I'm a dinosaur and still use a pc. lol.

Amazing I can't find one program that will do this.

Anyone have source code for custom programming of the twitter feed?

I am afraid you won't be able to find anything, especially when you are not even willing to pay your broker 4.5 dollars more per month. What do you expect? Too lazy to work with the Twitter api? I thought so. Unfortunately nobody hands the holy grail to you.

There are lots of apps (desktop and mobile) that work with twitter for "custom alerts" on users or word specific alerts. Just use Google to find them.

  5. Does the Zzzzz stand for you sleeping 24/7 ? Must be, as I never said I didn't want to pay, and I did say I HAVE already been paying to get realtime quotes.

I asked for source code using the twitter api that might be useful, does that sound like I'm too lazy to work with it?

You sir , are a turkey.

Quoting you on twitter api which suggests you are a little lazy (it takes about 10 minutes to pull in the libraries and write a quick Rest request and to filter and alert by handle and topic) :

"Only way to do what I want is via some api and its too much work. "

Re 4.5 bucks my apologies, I confused you with another user.

Serious, there are two dozen twitter apis out there in any conceivable language. It takes minutes rather than hours to write a subscription request and custom filter to do exactly what you need. And even in tweetdeck you can set up a stream by topic/keyword and then filter by user, getting you exactly the result you want. How they implement alerts I don't know though.

  10. Nothing takes minutes, especially, when you haven't worked with it before.

If you're so skilled, put something together for me. I notice lot's of suggestion but nothing concrete . Sort of like the FURU's out there /
