This may be an old rehash, but returning to this subject may be topical, given the recent WS settlement. Does anyone believe or trust in any of the stock picks made by TV commentators, whether on CNBC, Rukeyser's show, PBS's Wall Street Week w/ Fortune, Fox's Cost of Freedom block or Cavuto. It seems that except in only a few cases, mainly on year-end wrapup sessions, do the moderating journalists take to task with the guests about their stock picks' performance. Moreover, they rarely ask penetrating questions as to why they are losing their clients' money when things go bad as opposed to touting their success when the market is great. This is also true for most financial publications or web sites. Any insight from you guys, a "smart" bunch, would be helpful. Ciao.
