    yeah i saw it

Get 10 newbies in a room and let them trade, take the other side of all their trades and bingo.

-and as for taking only 3 lunches in 8 years, thats bullS**T. I worked with Anton.

Not sure why VanDam and Kreil have put themselves up to do this, must be bored of life and strive some tv fame. The city is a secretive place and its participants prefer joe public to be somewhat unaware of its doings.

    - totally fictional and ridiculous, but mildly amusing nonetheless.

For some reason I have this feeling the trades they phone through are not even going into the market. Wouldn't be surprised if they are just getting written down and recorded for P&L purposes.

Most traders call up when they want to deal in size, especially anything over $10m.

The machine they put their trade tickets into was a time stamper. The back office people would then reconcile the deals done.

Those poor suckers are trying to trade UK shares - one of the most illiquid and rigged markets on the planets.

Why isnt anyone looking at the volatility and trading something that moves.

Are they trading CFDs or paying .5% transaction tax?

If you listen the one guy says he lost 4%. Then they tell you he lost GBP500.

They are not trading in 10m multiples. I assume they are trading CFD's or the 0.5% tax would kill them.

  9. Thanks for the Youtube guys, it seems like a good show.

You might also want to check out on Youtube the Apprentice UK edition, far superior to the US version and you might even learn a thing or two.

Also to be devil's advocate here, CBS that I know of and Comedy Central also block Canadians from watching their shows, so it seems to be some stupid trend of trying to save $3 from the bandwidth requirement to have foreigners watch your shows.
