Million dollar traders Eight become one on Tuesday Margareta Pagano Sunday, 25 January 2009 Caroline Taysom, a 41-year-old single mother of twin girls, was by far the coolest of the eight wannabe equity traders whose attempts to become top City traders have been chronicled in BBC2's 'Million Dollar Traders' programme. Lex Van Dam, the hedge fund trader who put up £500,000 of his money to trade, says Taysom had by far the best approach. Overall, the eight traders lost money â but less than the market average. Taysom, who had set up and sold a food business for more than £5m before taking part, plans to continue trading while pondering her next venture. Mr Van Dam said: "She stays calm when everyone else loses the plot. She's the one you take with you when you go to war." disappointed in the walkout. i know there had to be more - it is, after all, reality tv - but poor form. i was in a situation where i was never yelled at by my traders (when i supported them as a techie) but i used to hear stories, and recorded stuff, from other firms...
I think he meant "The City Uncovered" show. I am working on how to access the BBC 2 outside of the UK in the simplest way, once I figure it out, I will post the solution. Both shows are up on the BBC website for 7 days, but one needs to fake a UK IP address. I guess I have to download a program for that, because so far none of the UK proxis worked...
