And have never said she ever had a remote chance of being elected or would be a candidate that I would vote for. I give her credit for entering into the mix without dnc approval to mix it up hard for the dnc duds. Not giving her too much credit for that, because she has already delivered. Would very much like to see her back on stage. Similarly, although he is obnoxious and Tulsi is cute, Tom Steyer is going to be in the next debate. The fact that he will never be the nominee notwithstanding, he will nevertheless appear as a person not approved by the dnc duds and he will mix it up. I am all for it. No, I dont do the "ron paul is going to be elected" routine when anyone with a noggin knew he wasn't. Similarly,Tulsi will not be the nominee and is wayyyy too quirky in some of her positions for me. That is to say, I would like to see more of her, not less in the dem process. And if she brings out the whips and chains along the way, beautiful. Sometimes that is what love looks like. Hari Krishna. Om namah shivaya.
Good work if you can get it. Not a lot of traffic to deal with there in Stehekin, Washington. Campaign finance- the great American con game. https://www.civilbeat.org/2019/09/why-is-tulsi-gabbard-paying-this-obscure-consultant-big-bucks/
Too bad we cannot do it like in the apprentice. All the Democrat clowns get a hypothetical budget of $100,000 each to run their own company. They will be required to sell their products to the public. The one who earns the most monies wins it! Now, this is probably, going to be a toss up with Tulsi Gabbard, Tom Steyer, Andrew Yang. Then, again, Yang will give his profits away with Universal Income for the lazy slugs, Steyer will spend his profits trying to impeach President Donald Trump. All the Socialists Sanders, Harris, Warren will be busy doling out what profits they earned to the illegals (foreigners) for their votes. Tulsi Gabbard might make a little amount but, end up giving it away. Looks like Joe Biden might win this one! Since, he sells political favors, he will keep all his monies plus add more monies from selling his political power for a fee! We can still have Donald Trump as the big boss on top and he unceremoniously fires the Democrat clowns one after another as he dresses them down for being incompetent nincompoops! Joe Biden, he gives credit for ending up with more monies than he started with!
I saw C-SPAN re-running some shindig the gang all did in Iowa yesterday so I set the DVR for fun, mostly just to see if Joe stepped on his crank again with some Alzheimer's moment. He only had one minor lapse btw, and he caught it pretty quick. It was almost like when a CD bumps a second and then plays on. Joe did ok really. Called Trump a "serial power abuser" in a behind the scenes clip. Seems like Joe likes to portray this hard-scrap street fighter persona, but whatever. I actually could see him taking a swing at someone if he got pissed enough, I mean if he wasn't doing what he's doing. I can tell he's got a temper. He just hides it extremely well. So anyway I got sucked in and started zooming thru the various speeches. What I thought was interesting was how Tulsi never mentioned Trump. At first I thought hmmm, that's a pretty smart move.... I mean that's all Kamhala does, same with the others too, albeit most to a lesser degree than Harris, but not one slam from Tulsi. I noticed that in the first debate too and I kinda liked it, shows class. Then a thought crossed my mind... is that because technically she can't? I looked it up... _____________________________ Limits to Free Speech Article 88 of the UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. 888, makes it a crime for a commissioned military officer to use contemptuous words against the President and Congress, among others. ______________________________ So that's interesting. No idea if it applies to her or not. This is even outside the realm of our in-house "constitutional scholar" I suspect, unless of course he's versed in theoretical applications of the UCMJ. I'm sure he is. So does she have to be careful about what she says?
Sometimes she makes some sense, and then other times, she spews nonsense. I do like how she calls out Neil Cavuto, though.
My understanding is that she does need to be careful but is not prohibited. All of them. But she got dinged once before for appearing uniform in a campaign ad. Who woulda thunk? And it gets complicated because she is a member of the state national guard and rules for active duty officers do not apply, except many do. But if you of someone like Lindsey Graham- up until a year ago or so he had a reserve officer in the air force and yet he has lost no time criticizing presidents and members of congress over the years while being a reserve officer. Some of what Tulsi says that is pro-military and pro-American is refreshing as hell, but full disclosure, there are parts that also raise my eyebrow a bit. I saw an interview with her the other day- might even be that Cavuto interview- where she says in regard to her congressional and campaign views that "she is a soldier' and has to look at things as a soldier first or words to that effect. And I thought, "whoa girl" - ahh yes but within limits. Bringing that perspective to your position is terrific but don't cross the line to the point where you sound like your first obligation is to the military and to think like a soldier. Ahh, no. Not in your current day job. Same caution for senior generals who surround a president. Fortunately it plays out a bit better with Tulsi because her view is that "pro-military" does not mean more military just for wars. Let's just say other officers often subscribe to the "more is better" view.
Most of those who serve in the military have horrible records when they become politicians! They are now swamp creatures beholden to special interests and nothing more! Look at John Kerry and John McCain. Does anyone really, honestly, believe they did anything in their positions as politicians to benefit most Americans? Hell, John McCain even when he was already very sick went out of his way to come to Congress to vote for Obamacare which we still have thanks to him! I would rather have a businessman like President Donald Trump as US President. All the other duties pertaining to foreign policy, trade etcetera can be learned on the job, if one is smart enough to listen and use facts to guide you!
