    Before somebody asks:

"The New York Stock Exchange, the biggest equity market, joined the Nasdaq Stock Market in announcing today that it will shut. Commodity and equity trading will be suspended at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange while currency and interest rate trades will end at noon. The New York Mercantile Exchange, the world's largest energy market, will close its trading floor.

The Jan. 2 closing by the NYSE and the Nasdaq, the second largest U.S. exchange, will mean a four-day suspension of trading, including the weekend and New Year's Day. That would be the longest stretch since the six-day halt following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in 2001."

Anyone know if the AMEX will be open? Most ETFs trade on the AMEX and I do have some ETF positions. Just wondering.

Thanks Pekelo. But if I took the time to check amex.com myself, what would we talk about on ET? :D
