The lost represents Fox losing all its Democratic viewers

Fox would consistently have more democratic viewers than both CNN and MSNBC together.
Tucker was the main draw of Democratic viewers
The could relate to Tuckers hate of Republicians

  3. Yeh, I dunno. It is complicated.

The loss of dem voters with the loss of Tucker is real but I don't know that we can go so far as to say that it "represents Fox losing all its democratic viewers."

The little secret that is uncomfortable for dems is that a lot of dems are watching a lot of Fox. Not limited to Tucker although Tucker was a huge piece. Once they work out their programming replacement (might take 2-3 experiments) I am sure they will get quite a few of the viewers back. Even if if it is less than Tucker. The dems like to assert that their libness but they know the programming sucks on the lefty networks.

(this article is over a year old but the talking points are probably still valid)

“Carlson was top among Democrats in the demo across all of cable news that month and ranked third place among Dems in total viewership, too. Of the top four programs among Democrats in total viewers, Fox News had three: “The Five,” “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and “Hannity.” The top spot in total viewers went to MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show.”

I very much doubt that Fox has a significant number of Democrats watching their editorial coverage. Most of Tucker's audience is MAGA extremists who live in a world reinforced by his continual spewing of lies.

Now Fox is in the tough position of losing its conspiracy theory audience who followed Tucker -- leading to a significant drop in ratings for the time slot. Who can Fox News replace Tucker with who will retain the MAGA conspiracy theory audience who wants to hear the "election fraud", anti-vax, pro-Kremlin spew continuously?

It's just the MAGA conspiracy theorists leaving Fox and going over to Newsmax.

Newsmax Ratings Climb After Tucker Carlson’s Exit at Fox
The niche conservative news channel is still small compared with Fox News, but its viewership has doubled and in some time slots even tripled since Tucker Carlson was dismissed.

    You should know better

New viewership data from Nielsen MRI Fusion (written up in The Wrap, Forbes, The Hill and elsewhere) shows that the conservative outlet’s audience includes oodles of self-described younger Democrats. In October, The Wrap reports, Tucker Carlson’s primetime show was the top-rated news show among Democrats between 25-54. “In total-day viewership, Fox News grabbed 42 percent of Democrats aged 25-54, CNN nabbed 33 percent, and MSNBC got 25 percent,”

Fox News also pulls in independents. The Nielsen data says that 58 percent of younger independents watch Fox during total-day hours, while only 25 percent tune in to CNN and just 18 percent choose MSNBC.
