Stop confusing the simpletons with details and facts. They like to think that everything is as simple as they are.
Seems to be the case. Both party supporters have plenty of stupid people but only Trump supporters are overwhelmingly confident while knowing very little. If they'd say "make America great again by doing the following things:", followed by a list of very detailed plans - that's great, go for it. But it's always just empty slogans and superficial statements, in the end you realize there is no plan, just anger and opinions, and you can't run a country based on that.
We are happy just to have a president that wants to make America great again, we don't even care if he can or even if it can be done. For 8 years all we have heard is we have too much and others are exceptional too and that every one is exceptional so just shut up and try to fit in and give others a chance to be great.
Who are you listening to? You don't need to listen to anyone. American greatness is the same as it ever was, nothing changed in the last 8 years. If you're talking about "American exceptionalism" then we probably have nothing to talk about.
Crap. I've been pining for a 2017 s550. Maybe its time to look at Cadillac again. I once put a deposit on a new CTS-V and the dealer then started lying about VIN numbers and delivery dates until I had to ask for my money back. I'll chalk that up to a bad dealer and take another look.
You have a point. However it should be noted that the majority of the Honda and BMWs manufactured in the U.S. are sold domestically. You can make a case that if foreign companies want to sell products in the U.S. then they would need to set up factories in the U.S. and hire American citizens. This is exactly what China demands of foreign companies - if you are not manufacturing within China then your goods will have a high tariff - it seems to be a pretty successful policy for the Chinese.
I have no idea why someone would be for TIPP. particularly a lefty. TPP is so good they figured they should keep it a secret from the public and keep it in a secure room. Congressman could not even photograph. Only a soros loving anti american worker's rights special kind of lefty stalinist could support that kind of bill. luckily we have do8 and fraudcurrents on this site.
Many do it, including Russia. It's not quite that simple as in reality there are many tax incentives in play. In the end the lost tax revenue might be greater than the benefit to workers (and tax revenue from that). I remember reading this is the case in US but I don't have the article at hand. China and Russia are different animals, both have an abundance of workers who will work for very low pay. X-series BMWs are luxury items so that manufacturing in US won't matter if it adds to cost. For anything price sensitive, say watermelons (case of fired Mexicans in Georgia), things are different - you can't even fill the positions. US can become completely isolationist and then people will pay whatever price is charged but does anyone realistically want that? You're wrong about BMW selling the cars made in South Carolina locally: BMW Manufacturing Co. announced today that the export value of its passenger vehicles through the Port of Charleston in 2015 totaled $9.8 Billion, confirming the company’s South Carolina facility as the leading U.S. automotive exporter by value. According to data from the U.S. Department of Commerce, this accomplishment represents a 7.8% increase over BMW’s 2014 value. In 2015, more than 280,000 vehicles were exported from its South Carolina plant, over 70% of the plant’s total volume.
I don't need to listen, but every year I do at the State of the Union and apparently it's all my fault that we haven't yet joined the rest of the civilized world.
