Hi all, Is there anyone besides Velocity that is offering X_trader for free? I have been looking to go with TT for a while now, any insights would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.
Well, I've had new clients who come to me and then leave Velocity in rather short order because they couldn't trade different products and different exchanges while logged in to the same user ID license. So, for example, if you were spreading ICE Gas/Oil versus Nymex Heating Oil it just wouldn't be possible in that rate structure. For my clients at least, we trade a number of different products on several (plus) exchanges. Wouldn't be an issue if all you were trading was, for example, ES. There are some Chicago FCMs who have put together a really attractive lease packages for TT and a few other very good execution platforms - they charge a nominal fee per trade, and it's capped to a monthly max rate. Advantage is one firm that comes to mind - why don't you just check the TT website of supporting brokers and narrow the list down from there ?
