Discussion in 'Trading Software' started by Bernard111, Nov 13, 2006.

  1. I''ve poked around with xstudy 1.4 and its pretty sweet. if you trade fixed income, you'll love the ability to chart yields. i got that going this morning and love it..

i looks like tt is putting more into analytics...i pulled this from the notes they issued on the 1.4 release...i like the trading in yield and implied (bid-ask / ask-bid) charting...a few guys in my group love the Ichimoku Study

Not yet. I always wait a week or two before upgrading. I don't want to beta test for them.

  5. You will note be a beta tester if you use the 7.4.3 p167 because they will not re-package another release until...the next official one! :)

Meanwhile if you adopt it, you will benefit of the improvements and you will suffer of (any --if any) bug/issues.

    Nothing new in this regard.

  6. Hi Guys.. Ive decided to put TT X_trader on hold.. Im going with Pats Pro-Mark as a resulf bad experience with TTSIM and the lack of X_Study evaluation (astonishing that TT cannot get themselves to point to offer that as a critical part of the evaluation process by simply themselves installing of using feed from FSDM (or whatever you call it) Server..

I am so not impressed by this.. the tool costs around £750.. for that price throw in the goddamn graphing tool if you have it and put it in the demo with all the funds and revenues you already have access to..for gods sakes..

Sorry but thats no way to run a company.. and Im so glad to unistall that clunky gateway module from my system that when in use strangely prohibits Java trading tools like ProMark from launching, ..this is really beginning to smell...

Ill review X_trader when the current release is accepted as standard via GNITouch, till then.. BEGONE you infesting, constantly loosing its link- not supplied with a graphing tool, patented old technology 32bit programme masquerading as dual processor darling.. which it is absolutely not , limiting my screen resolution and optimized for 16bit colour only...... you are not the only show in town. Whata disappointment... but somehow I think I may see your stupid face again...

  7. My office installed 7.4.3 this week. I've been banging on it for three days and like it alot. I think they earmarked this for globex traders...there's a new order entry bar that gbex traders tend to use. it's a cool little entry bar and lets me move around and get orders in even faster...i've been scalping ge contracts this week with great results. they've also added more 'hot keys' that you can program. i havent got into that yet buy am looking into it this weekend. one of our traders already has and hes left early every day this so i suppose he's doing well..

With the ranges we've had in the markets this week i hope everyones doing well!

  8. Do you work for Pats?

Most of your 28 total posts are about your claimed superiority of ProMark vs. X_Trader.

Please stick to the thread title, instead of repeating over and over about the 16 bit color depth, the 32 bit apps code, etc.

I could address each of your critics expressd in your 'usual post' on TT, but if you like this , please open your thread and name is 'X_Trader Vs. ProMark'.

We welcome your reviews if you tried both the 6.x and 7.x versions and you have something to say about this topic.

    Thank you,
    Bernard

  9. covered_call,

I'm quite satisfied with the latest 7.4.3; but unfortunately I have to change my broker; I've described the reasons on another thread.

I had no problem getting a TT rep to come to my office and demo the Xstudy. Looked fine. I don't do much charting though.

It only costs the price you quoted if you go with the pro. Much less for the regular.
