Ninja's Price averaging is sometimes totally messed up and there are times the Dome shows I have thousands of open ES contracts, sometimes I wish it were true....
Hi, I am new to this forum and very delighted to see all the contibutions. How i reached here is by searching information about NT/Zenfire vs X-Trader/TT. I am on a verge to decide that which one to select and which brokrage among AMP, Velocity, Dorman or Mirus. I have gone through this whole thread but still in a bit confusion that which Platform should i go with. I would be mainly trading in mini S&P and Russell2000 TF. If i take the following three factors to decide about the Platform, then which one is the best. 1ata Feed (speed and realiability) 2:Order execution 3:Availability and support If some one have any experience with velocity using NT with TT feed, Please share your recommendation. Velocity also provide X-trader with TT feed and that's their prefferd platform. They claim that X-Trader is the best in terms of all three factors using TT data and Price feeds. I have also read about some lagging, data filtering, ghost orders etc which just confused me to decide about any Platform and the undelying Technology. One of the posts also explains that its sololy depends on your brokrage data center which plays most important role in the feeds and order execution. I would highly appreciate if some one can guide in a bit detail about the difference and also share their experience about different brokrages. Thanks
Hi Tradergame, Welcome to ET. Tons of useful info here. You really can not go wrong with either Velocity X_Trader or Mirus Nina/zen-fire. Both are great. Regards, redduke
I've been on Ninja + TT feed for over a year now and haven't run into any problems. I'm fairly active and it has worked great. Not sure what the ghost order talk is, unless perhaps you don't cancel open orders before the close of the day session and it gets hit in the next session. I've always gotten a warning that I've had open orders when I went to close and forgot to cancel something, not sure why that wouldn't happen for everyone. I will say they do need to add the buttons to change size like on TT rather than the keypad or having to go type in the box.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Highly appreciate for the replies. It really gives a confidence move forward by getting some expert feedback. Just for my own curiosity, Is there any noticeable difference between Ninja Zen fire of X-Trader/TT in terms of Data Feeds or Order execution/fills. Secondly is there a way to import Ninja Indicators in X-Trader. Can you Please also recommend any indicators in x-trader. Any words about Brokrage Velocity, AMP, Dorman or Mirus. Once again Thanks a lot for your Great input.
Ninja is just a front end software package and needs a data/execution engine to run quotes and send orders back and forth..........thus you can connect to Zen Fire feed, or X-Trader feed or a few others like IB and Gain for forex. The two front and back ends work together to get connected and than the Ninja will allow you to run your ATS with its library or just manual trade and than some ATM type orders for special exit rules once you enter. Ninja with the Zen Fire feed is the quickest and most streamline package but if you need more markets than the X-Trader TT gateway may allow for more markets without much slow down. Trade well.
You will not see any major difference between ninja/zen or X_trader. X_trader market depth goes 10 levels deep if the exchange supplies it. X_Study is quite limited as far as charting goes. You can not take ninja in and import them there. All these name are good, but when yuo open account with Mirus for example, your funds are held at doorman or rcg.
Any body know if it is possible to use another front end besides Ninja with Zenfire. I would prefer Zeroline trader.
