Thanks Spectre2007 for this advice. All this time, I had been backtesting my trend systems and never knew or even considered to trade when the market volatility was present. I was testing using ATR for a stop loss, but never thought to use to signal when to trade the trend system
Hello Spectre2007, I notice you trade ES futures. I trade ES as well, but my 3 point stop loss does not fit this market well and the ATR is too high to adjust for reasonable stop loss. How are you adjusting your stop loss placement which so big range bars? Thanks
