TAIPEI, July 17 (Reuters) - Taiwan should pay the U.S. for its defence as it does not give the country anything, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told Bloomberg Businessweek, sending shares of Taiwanese chip manufacturer TSMC (2330.TW), opens new tab lower on Wednesday.

Soon Israel has to pay for defense too.

How about South Korea & Japan? Are they paying enough?

Definitely, the NATO members have to pay more.

    Who else must pay more?

TSMC will tell Trump they're running out of chips for his military.

Donald Trump has signalled the US would not defend Taiwan from a Chinese invasion under his presidency – because the country had grown rich by “stealing” US microchip production.

    ______________________________________________________

ie When Trump is the president again, that is a good time for China to
    take over Taiwan.

ie Taiwan Index, TSMC .... will be very highly tradable.
Make sure your war chest is well stocked.

Soon China will be selling tons and tons of chips (from China, and from Taiwan Island, China)
    to the whole world.
Of course, they wouldn't sell high end chips to the world.

Similarly, Israel has grown rich from the support the US has given to them.

The irony is the CEO of TSMC is Taiwanese American. He started his business in SoCal but couldn't get funding or necessary skills to grow there so he moved to Taiwan.
