Tesla using cheap, foreign labor in its Fremont plant Tesla uses a contractor that brings in foreign employees to work for about $5 an hour at its plant in Fremont. The contractor brought in workers using non-immigration visas and had them install industrial heating and cooling systems – violating the terms of their visas. Tesla told the Bay Area News it's up to the German-based contracting company to make sure their employees are hired and paid appropriately. (San Jose Mercury News)
I don't see a problem with that as long as they pay taxes. let's introduce some competition into the labor market. It seems there's contraction going on in the US labor market, the expansion phase has long gone. I think we're in the phase where one would need to lower his expectation. Business owner always tries to find way to get an edge either in technology or in labor or in material,... let's the market place determine for the cost of labor. As a whole, it'd be beneficial to the US econ (more people having a chance of being employed, as a result, it'd generate other collateral businesses to support these people and businesses).
Quoth the Raven @QuoththeRavenSA 9m9 minutes ago Oh, so $GS upgrades $TSLA today & then we find out they're lead book runner for the company's $2 bn equity financing. Now it makes sense.
It will probably head to 185 before it touches 250. Always bet against $GS calls you will make a serious money
Tesla is now trading back up near $220. The stock rallied from $135-$260 a few months ago so profit taking was to be expected. Tesla (TSLA) will now have major support located at $200.
