$GM Fantastic ER, yet stock goes nowhere for 6 years. Why? 'Cause people are betting on$TSLA as the future.
The company didn't meet the expectations of investors and brought losses. I think that this year we are unlikely to see a big profit. But don't forget that Tesla intends to increase the production and sale of vehicles up to 500 thousand per year until the end of 2018. Success will definitely come. What do you think?
Intention does not necessary mean success. Of course, it's very cool to have such ambitious goals but the problem is that they can't deliver it
TSLA market cap 27.9 B GM market cap - 47 B In 2015 GM sold 17 M only light vehicles and only in US: http://www.gm.com/investors/sales/us-sales-production.html Tesla total sale all around the world is around 50 K https://forums.teslamotors.com/forum/forums/how-many-cars-sold-2014-and-2015 Tesla is currently highly oversold. Current Tesla price is purely based on high future expectations that someday in the future this car will replace all gas vehicle by assuming that none of other car makers will not jump into electric car production. 2008-2009 automaker crisis and high oil prices helped this company to move up. Heavy advertisement and Government support of alternative energies and electric and hybrid cars in 2009-2011 stimulated the this move up. Tesla has great car. I have nothing against this car. However, with total yearly sale below 50K this company's worth cannot be half of GM. There are no any data which would support the current TSLA market cap. Nothing except funs moved this company up. Heavy pumped by free FED's money, this stock is heavily overbought and it may kill it. I am surprise that there are still somebody who expects to profit from this stock move up. Do you expect TSLA make 100% up and become bigger than GM? What do you expect from TSLA? On what data your expectations are based? You invested into Tesla couple of years ago... you have made a decent profit from it... move on.... find another stocks which has a potential to growth. Forget about TSLA
