Dear Cornholio, Spread? That's the yield, numbnuts. It's not the NBBO! The spread they are referring to is the yield over similar B- rated corps (400bp). And Ts (600bp). Uhhh, what 850 (sic) spread are you referring to? lol and the bonds were trading under 85 yesterday equating to a yield of 8.5%. How long have you been on Goldman's HY desk?
You compared a high performance machine to a model 3. Yes the acceleration is impressive but the vehicle dynamics are average. And yes acceleration will make up for subpar vehicle dynamics, (ie coming out of a corner, up to a point) let's just not get caught up on Elon's or web magazine dick riding press releases. Having said all that, electric can dominate in short races (Hill climbs like Pike's peak or setting track records).
Dude, it's a 3 second 0-60. AWD. That's the comparison. You want to make it a track car. It's a commuter car that will kill almost anything on the freeway.
99.99% of buyers never climb Pike's peak nor driven on tracks. If you however wish to do that you should not buy a Tesla but a Volkswagen.
