$TSLA

  1. Is there a way to find out the type and price of bonds Soros has bought?

Tesla bonds, like the stock, have been heavily shorted. Soros might have picked up some really cheap convertible bonds on sale. Hope those who know about the convertibles would share some info here.

I believe this Tesla fairy tale has just about run its course. How can Tesla in its current mess compete with Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, ... ????? There is also the prospect of lower priced Chinese competitors, like BYD, in which Warren Buffett is an investor.

In the land of the blind, one-eye is king.

Until it is no more land of the blind...
This Mercedes will be available 2019 for around $ 45,000 as competitor for the Model X. Do you see the problem( price! ) for Tesla?

When Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, ... will enter the market it will not bring additional clients for Tesla, it will cause potential Tesla buyers to buy something else. It can never be a benefit for Tesla. And when price, quality and delivery timing is better... (which is a no brainer at this moment)

Let's see how they handle the Li-ion battery risks...

  6. (0) I do not consider myself a genius.

    (1) I do not consider EVs superior to gasoline cars.

    (2) I do not consider Tesla to be the originator of EV. Far from it! The concept of electric motive power dates back to the mid 1820s. Various battery powered electric vehicles were developed in the 1830s.

No, that is a new option that was invented by Tesla. :D

Just like the Autopilot that isn't an Autopilot at all. If a truck stops for a red light, the Autopilot Tesla just crashes behind in the truck.

Tesla added themselves a whole list with things that the Autopilot cannot manage. Just to protect themselves against potential lawsuits. The driver should always be able to intervene. Why do you need then an Autopilot?

It's like telling that a car has brakes, but that they will not always work.
