I don't think it will be worth $1.2 TN anytime soon or even $7K a share. They have a lot of products coming to the market but Ford, GM and others are not going to sit back and allow Elon Musk to embarrass them and eat their lunch. Audi, BMW and Mercedes have all introduced electric cars recently. Ford and GM have had several available for sale for many years. The number of electric cars is going to increase in the immediate future and people will be attracted to brands they are familiar with and not an upstart like Tesla. I hope he is successful, but the recent trajectory is not sustainable. Actually, I wonder if something is going on behind the scenes. It seems that trading software would have initiated a sell function after the recent rise in the stock. It would have happened for anything else. It's not unreasonable to believe that some sort of manipulation is going on, it has happened before.
The article generated by ARK has generated quite a bit of buying, but of coarse 2024 is a long way off, and their is a laundry list of things that need to go just right. Yesterdays market cap would be valuing last years production of 327,000 vehicles at roughly $430,000 each. Yesterdays volume was 25% of the outstanding shares. The stock went into stupid overbought territory yesterday and almost immediately backed off 6% before finally closing in stupid overbought territory. Look at the 6 and 12 month chart. Looks as though its ripe for some back pedaling. I certainly don't know where the stock will ultimately end up, because there are as many pro's as there are con's. I'm just saying there is or will be a very good shorting opp. here.
My tesla chart in IB TWS went blank. Attempting to retrieve data. Anybody else have problems? EDIT: it came back then went blank again. attempting to retrieve data.
Imagine TSLA price catches up and surpass AMZN and GOOG , though it still takes some time if it would be eventualy, but the rate TSLA accelerates these couple days indicates huge institutes accumulation when they realize the prospect of huge impact of TSLA automation in the near future.
