I'll be continuing what I've already done with E2T here. Would rather start from zero but it's here for me not to forget.
Look, your drawdown days dwarf your net profitable days. That's a problem, now they may all be outliers but the sample size is large enough to suggest that they are not. Do you know what your experienced win size/loss size is? Do you track your MFE ( maximum favorable excursion) is? Are you leaving too much money on the table relative to your entries? Are your stops placed well? (MAE). I made my comment because your performance table suggests a problem. I know little about these funded accounts but I understand that they are relatively easy to blow up and there is no lesson I've not learned the hard way. Good luck to you.
Thanks for your reply. MFE MAE are about 50/50 Same as my average win / loss ratio. Still with a little bias towards adversity / losses. The problem is I get undisciplined here and there. It’s not the funded account but blame on me. My theoretical max daily loss is 10% I’ve not been able to stick to it. Then I trade very poorly. When shit hits the fan I kinda lose control. That’s my take … Not all bad streaks lead to disaster. But some of them end up in disaster. I can make 99 correct trades and blew up on 1 Just because of my mental fortitude. I should just quit when it gets tough, Take one day off after a bad loss. Disaster happens quick, It’s one piece that falls after the other. Seems like I lose control. These bad days should be capped at -10% That’s it. I’d be better off. Overall.
Your experiences are very common. The world has a lot more competent technicians than it does good traders. Behavior is the key and is a harder conquer than understanding charts. Keep working on yourself and your habits. It's not easy but it does get easier as you replace bad habits with productive ones. The difference between the consistently profitable trader and the rest of the crowd is developing the ability to do what is difficult.
Some thoughts… As a daytrader, sometimes I forget that my PnL is going to be a derivative of the underlying. Why do I forget ? Because I am in the action, looking for a trade to make money. However not all tapes are worth my attention. As there are golden opportunities only when the conditions are met. Easy dollars Vs Hard pennies If the underlying is dogshit then my trades / outcomes around it are likely to be similar. Imagine this mess being my PnL ? This is why I should look for bias and speed before to consider a trade around the underlying. Linda Raschke “Momentum trumps price”. Momentum brings asymmetries both Winrate wise and Payoff wise. My positions should try to capture the ongoing momentum, bias and speed. Capture the edge. Then there is the management around the trade … The dynamic adjustments. Decrease here and increase here. Move this and that. I believe that’s what B1S2 used to preach. Trading around the position. Can be beneficial as it can be detrimental. Sometimes it better to step back and let the market do its thing. Because we ain’t objective anymore when the risk is on. Most are likely to self sabotage under the pressure unless we have a clear plan, deeply rooted, for each scenario. Like a chess master. But à la Munger I’d say first and foremost avoid problems at all cost. We don’t want to have to manage a bad trade / idea. He said we don’t want to solve problems. We want to avoid them. Therefore a good entry / trade / position is important. These are the three levels: 1. Underlying 2. Position around underlying 3. Management around core position There are DOs and DONTs at these 3 levels. If one of them is wrong … the outcome’s likely bad.

Day #2 +9% Made 60 bucks more in the slave account, Cancelled a limit on the master that got filed on the slave. Missing a lot of trade ... Either I put my limit and it's not filled, Or I bypass the trade altogether. Walking on eggs. Since I am not taking counter trend trade anymore, The Winrate is great + Reward to Risk. Still taking small profit though. 1R Should let them run, Or aim for 2R at least. Kinda trading my PnL ... Bad habits 4ever
