I am not an expert on index additions but typically the added stock rises on the days leading up to the addition and then falls after on an alpha basis. In this case it may have been a very over crowded trade and funds wanted to bank thier profits. I was watching it and made a small short near the close but did not stick around for the bulk of the drop. Some large offers started to hit the tape.
