How inconvenient that; 1) Wray was appointed by Trump 2) Wray was Christie's personal lawyer for Bridgegate 3) Wray was also a Bush 43 appointee
https://www.smh.com.au/world/north-...ided-by-fbi-donald-trump-20220809-p5b8cb.html ......Trump, infamous for exaggerations and lies, claimed that he was once again being politically persecuted by “radical left Democrats” and likened the events to Watergate, the 1972 bungled burglary that led to the biggest political scandal of its time. “What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democratic National Committee?” he asked, before claiming: “Here in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th president of the United States.” Within hours, Trump was using the incident to raise campaign money. His fundraising arm, Save America, sent out an email with a clip of former adviser Stephen Miller on Fox News describing the act as an “abomination”, with a link to “Donate to Save America”. Supporters had also gathered outside Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate to protest against the former president’s treatment, holding signs and shouting obscenities........ LMAO
‘I’ve seen enough!’ Republicans react with fury to Trump home search By Alan Feuer August 9, 2022 https://www.watoday.com.au/world/no...ury-to-trump-home-search-20220809-p5b8h7.html New York: Top Republicans and prominent conservatives have reacted with outrage to the news that the FBI had searched Mar-a-Lago, the private residence of Donald Trump, with some suggesting that federal agents should be arrested and others hinting that the court-approved law-enforcement action against the former US president was pushing the country towards political chaos. “I’ve seen enough,” Kevin McCarthy, the House minority leader, wrote in a statement that he posted online. “The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponised politicisation.” “How dare they!” Jupiter resident Kathy Luksch stands with others gathered to support Donald Trump near Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.Credit:The Palm Beach Post/AP Hinting at a possible congressional investigation into the sitting attorney-general if Republicans take control of the House after the midterm elections, McCarthy added: “Attorney-General Garland, preserve your documents and clear your calendar.” The attacks on the search of Trump’s beachfront domain in southern Florida continued a long-standing reflex among his supporters to assail federal law-enforcement officials as biased and corrupt. Trump and his allies have relentlessly disparaged the FBI for taking the lead in the investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and Russia. And more recently, Trump’s allies in Congress and the media have sought to deflect blame from him by baselessly depicting the January 6 assault on the Capitol as a “false flag” operation run by the bureau and abetted by the Justice Department. Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida has been raided by the FBI as part of a probe into presidential records. One of the most strident attacks on federal law enforcement after the raid came from Florida state legislator Anthony Sabatini, who is running for Congress as a Republican in a district near Orlando. Any FBI agent conducting law enforcement functions outside the purview of our State should be arrested upon sight.” In a post last week, Ric Grenell, who served as Trump’s acting director of national intelligence, said that if the former president were to be reelected, he must “clean out the FBI and DOJ”. The Republican response to the search also sought to instil fear in ordinary people by suggesting that they too could be targeted by federal agents. “If they can do it to a former president, imagine what they can do to you,” the Twitter account for the House Republican caucus wrote. On Fox News, host Jesse Watters described the search of Trump’s property as “insane” and called for Christopher Wray, the director of the FBI, to be fired for being “corrupt”. Other right-wing pundits took an even darker view, hinting that the search of Mar-a-Lago could lead to unrest in the streets. “There is suddenly a very real risk of violent political instability in this country for the first time in more than 150 years,” Joel Pollak, a senior editor at right-wing news outlet Breitbart News, wrote on Twitter. The best part of this...those FBI agents also do vote. Some voted for Trump and others voted for Biden in 2020. I would classify this as a "bipartisan FBI raid" on Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida in a Republican state led by a Republican governor who most likely plans to run for President in 2024 as a Republican. Just as funny, all of this talk about the Biden Family (Hunter laptop/Ukraine)...this started when Trump was President and when Trump had control of the DOJ & FBI under his thumb. Simply, no scandal...bipartisan or not political...a justified criminal investigation as they stated could happen since December of 2020 after Trump tried to pressure the election officials in Georgia to find phantom votes and planned to remove voting boxes that contained valid votes in designated states that he lost to change the outcome of the U.S. elections. #hilarious wrbtrader
Raid triggered by National Archives.. LMAO You cant make this stuff up if you tried. Whats next? The Institute of Library services will get a warrant for unreturned book?
They knew exactly what they were looking for in Trump's office, an old bridal suite, and broke open a standard hotel room safe;
In light of current events, most likely it would be for the "The Perfect Phonecall" aka Helsinki transcript.
