Trumps lower approval and favorability ratings and democrat party unity since 2016 suggest otherwise. And of course he only won by 78000 votes the first time with millions of people regretting voting for Trump or staying home.
Considering the Progressive socialists, communists and islamists are trying their hardest to take control of the Democrat Party, the establishment globalists on Hillary Clinton's side are not going to allow that to happen! Chances are pretty good Hillary Clinton would be the DNC nominee for 2020!
While I expect Democrats to make significant progress in the mid-terms which is common for the minority party- the 2020 Presidential race is a different situation. When it comes to 2020, one thing I can assure you of is that Hillary is toxic. Many people in the middle were not voting for Trump they were voting against Hillary. The same thing would happen again in 2020 if they were matched up in the general election -- except that Trump's margin of victory would be larger this time - not significantly larger but certainly enough to ensure his victory on an EC basis.
Dems have flipped around 45 seats from red to blue while republicans have only flipped around 4.Thats democrat unity.
Polling has consistently showed trump has lost the support of millions from the middle.A centrist dem was unacceptable to many dems in 2016 so they stayed home.Since The EC elected Trump a centrist pro lifer like Doug Jones is beloved in the party if it means opposing trump. Even Hillary would beat Trump in 2020,by more than the millions she beat him by in 2016 and more than enough to win the ec.its highly unlikely she will be the nominee though.
So do you agree that Trump is polling better at this point in his presidency than Obama did? Or do you only accept polls that meet your bias? Dem party is a disaster...total train wreck. Hilarious to watch. They can’t find a decent candidate who doesn’t look like a horse and espouses murderous ideology.
Obama has a higher aggregate and Gallup approval rating than trump now.Obama has a higher overall average approval rating than trump.Obama has never went as low as trumps low and trump has never gotten as high as Obamas high. trump has never had the approval of the majority of Americans in aggregate or Gallup polls, the only President never to do so
They got millions more votes in the last presidential election and have flipped around 45 seats from red to blue since The EC elected Trump while republicans have flipped around 4. The leader of the republican party has been under DOJ investigation for most of his presidency. That is a disaster and total train wreck.
Only one poll has Trump at 50%.If other polls had him at 50 % I would accept it. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wire...rump-cites-questionable-job-approval-54221950 AP FACT CHECK: Trump cites questionable job approval rating ByHOPE YEN AND EMILY SWANSON, ASSOCIATED PRESS WASHINGTON — Apr 4, 2018, 1:55 PM ET President Donald Trump is pointing to a 50 percent job approval rating that may not fully comport with reality. TRUMP: "Thank you to Rasmussen for the honest polling. Just hit 50 percent, which is higher than Cheatin' Obama at the same time in his Administration." — tweet Tuesday. THE FACTS: Trump cites an approval rating that doesn't jibe with other polls. The daily tracking poll from Rasmussen Reports released Monday finds half of likely voters said they approve of Trump's performance in office. That's 4 points higher than what President Barack Obama scored on the same poll on April 2, 2010. But Rasmussen stands alone among frequent pollsters in finding such a high rating for Trump, and its findings are often seen as less reliable because of the automated calling method it uses. It's against federal law to have computers dial cellphones, so a big chunk of U.S. adults who don't have landline phones — many of them young people — cannot be reached using the survey's phone interviews. Rasmussen says that to reach adults who do not have landline phones, about 20 percent of its interviews are conducted using an online panel. More than half of American adults do not have a landline phone, according to the most recent estimate from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Rasmussen did not provide more information about how the panel it uses is recruited. In contrast, a Gallup poll finds that based on a weekly average, Trump had an approval rating of 39 percent as of Sunday. That figure is lower than Obama's rating of 49 percent during the comparable time period, according to Gallup. A new poll last week by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found Trump's approval rate to be 42 percent, in the ballpark of Gallup's. Neither the AP nor Gallup uses automated phone calls to tally its results.
