You? Reading The Atlantic? Really? And The New Yorker back when Goldberg was banging the war drums for Iraq? You must’ve spent a lot of time at the proctologist’s office. Last I checked, The Atlantic was for highly educated, affluent, politically engaged city elites. Didn’t peg you as one of them. Thought you’d be more of a National Geographic or Time skimmer in the waiting room.

And as for Goldberg being on that text thread, anyone who could have the phone number of The Atlantic's Editor-in-Chief would have it. There’s not exactly a more prestigious contact in journalism.

  2. I don't believe Goldberg hacked in himself, or even was part of any such hacking. Someone on team Trump added him in and I have a hard time believing that was by accident.

Get prepared for stream of bullshiat to hit the fan. Just like all of Musk's other false government claims, I am sure he will come up with some real doozies to explain this Yemen attack leak. I expect Musk will make claims (without evidence) that Goldberg and associates of George Soros hacked Signal, the Signal app is insecure, Signal staff has been infiltrated by TDS actors who added Goldberg to the thread... plus lots of other inconceivable, patently false bullshiat.

Calling Musk and his associates "Best Technical Minds" is laughable. These clowns can't even figure out how date fields work in a Cobol database.

Yeah Mike, "How This Happened" is that you added Goldberg as a contact and then later added him to the group. Your mistake, nothing else.

  4. He's prestigious among leftist groups. He is hated among anyone even remotely pro Trump. No one friendly to Trump would include him on any message thread. He wouldn't be included on a what's for lunch conversation, let alone something like this.

  5. Which begs the question, what the hell is Mike doing contacting the likes of a Trump hating far left journalist? For any reason? Of course it is the secret squirrel agency, so playing both ends against the middle would be par for the course. Maybe it was just autofill rears it's ugly head again. LOL

The political elite in Washington is a specialized society where appointed officials (from both parties), elected officials (from both parties), lobbyists, and political reporters all mix at private high-end social events and parties. Many times talking with those who don't support their positions. It's all about making contacts -- to either land your future job, reinforce your current position, or simply to display how important you are.

There are multiple reports that Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, was seen at private social events conversing with nearly every person on the Signal thread. I bet that Goldberg is in the contact list on the cell phones of at least half the people on the thread. It is important to curate important members of the political press -- even if they generally don't support your positions. This has been done for decades in Washington D.C. -- the game is still the same today.

  9. Except Mike says he doesn't know Goldberg, never met him, never talked to him, never communicated in any way. Wouldn't recognize him in a room before yesterday. Someone playing both sides, or someone hacking into the system. Could be someone unknown to both parties, just stirring shit.

    Oh for FFS.

Some mornings Captain you just go as mentally basic as it's possible. It's like there are two different people in you.

National Security Adviser Mike Waltz fumbled adding a new number to an existing contact instead of a new contact. This is the simplest and most likely explination by a long way, as it is a common mistake.

Except for maybe Hegseth who is a goon and entirely unqualified, the people in that group are not New York Post readers. Opportunist? some flaky? not actual morons.
