This is a reminder that Signal is very easy for a government to hack. The Russians and Chinese probably were well aware of the entire texting thread before it was published by the Atlantic. 'Putin is giddy': NSA knew Signal was vulnerable to Russian hackers before security breach https://www.alternet.org/putin-signal/
He called the editor of The Atlantic a bottom feeing journalist and tries to pawn off that a number got magically swapped out in his phone. Middle schoolers lie better than this. Likely he is covering because you know who definitely could have the Atlantic's editor's phone number? Another media guy like say... Hegseth.
The White House keeps insisting that no war plans or classified information was discussed on the Signal messaging app. Well, if the Signal thread is not classified then the entire thread can be published. Right? This is exactly what The Atlantic has done. It includes all of Hegseth's texts showing the strike times, targets, U.S. military assets involved plus other information. All of this would have been catastrophic if it was released prior the strike. Bottom Line: Hegseth and the White House are lying. Even to the most simple mind this is classified information. Here Are the Attack Plans That Trump’s Advisers Shared on Signal The administration has downplayed the importance of the text messages inadvertently sent to The Atlantic’s editor in chief. https://www.theatlantic.com/politic...up-chat-attack-plans-hegseth-goldberg/682176/
Classified, unclassified, blah blah. What I want to know is how in the hell did Goldberg get added to that text thread. Who on team Trump has that guy on any contact list? He is a well known, top tier TDS on steroids, Trump is the actual devil, far as you can get lefty "journalist". No way Goldberg gets on that text by accident.
U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz added Goldberg first as a contact in Signal and then later added Goldberg to the “Houthi PC small group” where the text discussion occurred with numerous top officials. Mike Waltz has now claimed he never met Jeffrey Goldberg which has been widely mocked since there is clear evidence they have met previously. This also begs the question of why Goldberg's phone number was in Waltz's contact list on his cell phone which would allow Goldberg to be sent a request to be added as a contact on Signal. The Trump administration is now trying to claim that Jeffrey Goldberg hacked Signal to get added to the thread or that Golberg was "sucked into" the group chat on Signal. Both claims have been debunked by security experts. The guy who founded Signal, handle 'Moxie Marlinspike" (real name is Matthew Rosenfeld) mocked the U.S. Vice President while defending the platform. In additional posts, Moxie outlined the claims that someone can get "sucked into" a group is untrue, they must be deliberately added by a member of the group.
