While you're answering my first question, you should know that the Fed only made the situation worse. All crimes aren't handled the way they are on the cops and robbers tv shows you probably watch. Some situations should be given a chance to simmer down first, if possible. (Hostage situations, Mobs, etc.)
Typical local crimes everywhere in the country in cities that size. Tell me something that justifies the uninvited, unwanted, invasion of a state, in order to enforce that state's laws, unlawfully.
Supremacy Clause https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supremacy_Clause The Supremacy Clause of the Constitution of the United States (Article VI, Clause 2), establishes that the Constitution, federal laws made pursuant to it, and treaties made under its authority, constitute the "supreme Law of the Land", and thus take priority over any conflicting state laws.[1] It provides that state courts are bound by, and state constitutions subordinate to, the supreme law.[2] However, federal statutes and treaties are supreme only if they do not contravene the Constitution.[3]
What's so special about Chicago? (Besides Fox News brainwashing viewers) It's not boiling over. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_crime_rate
Name the federal law(s) governing Oregon property, that conflicts with Oregon's own laws regarding Oregon property. I'll wait.
When was the last time the media did a nationwide story on crime in St. Louis? (The current violent crime capital of the country.) Now, how 'bout the last nationwide story on crime in Chicago? Exactly.
This has been put under their collective noses so many times and they always blank it. Chicago became the whipping-boy during the Obama years. Will @Buy1Sell2 break that pattern?
