The past three administrations have militarized local police departments with surplus gear. Then they’re surprised when they use it. Isn’t it about time to focus on the criminal instead of the police.
When half the country whines like little babies about being told to wear a face covering (same as the rest of the whole wide world is wearing, btw); yet has no problem with mass civil rights violations by secret federal police, against the wishes of state and local governments ... yeah ... we're pretty much fucked as a country, and certainly as a superpower. Just a matter of time before it's obvious even to all the tarded Kens and Karens. For as long as there are people on the planet, history will look back and wonder wtf happened to this generation.
That would be the ones who pull down statues, or the ones who loot and destroy public/private businesses and property?
When the protests are about law enforcement overreach and they keep showing why protests are needed. Honestly the police from the UK or Ireland/New Zealand would have settled this ages back. Or a new story to distract everyone? At least this show is over.
I don't disagree with any of this, but I could easily say "when the country is told to lock down and stay indoors and away from mass gatherings, but then the country sees hundreds of thousands of people marching and rioting and performing mass gatherings, the people who are locking down go 'hey, why don't the rules apply over there?'"
