We are still very early into the negotiation process. There is a huge amount of ground to cover because of all the interested and affected parties. In addition, 75 years of mistrust in not going to go away overnight. Trump's early involvement and gestures shows much needed U.S. sincerity in peacefully resolving our differences with North Korea. South Korea has also pushed for these talks and Kim has made some permanent gesture of his own. There are some in the media that are fearing the political outcome of a successful treaty with North Korea more than they fear a unsuccessful outcome of a peace treaty. It is ironic they are attempting to use fear mongering as a tool to diminish this historical meeting for political gain. The Radical Left seeks power above all else, no matter the risk.
