Well thats a way to think about it. One night when I was an AP ranger a Russian criminal threw a grenade in to the bedroom of my house from a pickup. It was a million to one I had just got up a moment before and was in the kitchen. What was Boris to do at the point he pulled the pin? His actions seems much more reasonable.
Just one of the many opinion articles we are seeing on this case. Will see if anyone agrees with the points made in this commentary. Defense in the Ahmaud Arbery murder trial just made a big mistake: former federal prosecutors https://www.rawstory.com/ahmaud-arbery-defense-lawyer-failure/
You cant claim self defense in the act of committing a crime A burglar is in the act of committing a crime
chasing down a person in the street with your car and guns is a crime.... Hmmm that must be why the Arbry murders are being charged with: false imprisonment and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment.. So the Arbry murderers cannot claim self defense when they attacked a man and chased him with a car and threatened him with guns and falsely imprisoned him... DERP!
The case is now with the jury. We will see what the results are. I have seen all sorts of opinions in the media over the past few days -- I will not even attempt to predict the verdict.
A lot to do with courage of the jury Will they hold their ground or will the left corrupt this jury through intimidation Armed Black Panther standing outside the courthouse waiting for the jury Did this lead to the above
Closing statements by the prosecution..... PROSECUTOR: DEFENDANTS IN ARBERY CASE CAN’T USE SELF-DEFENSE BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) — The three white men charged in the killing of Ahmaud Arbery had no right to claim self-defense because they were the ones who provoked a confrontation with the 25-year-old Black man while he was running in their neighborhood, a prosecutor told jurors in her final closing arguments Tuesday. “You can’t claim self-defense if you are the unjustified aggressor,” Linda Dunikoski said. “Who started this? It wasn’t Ahmaud Arbery.” _________________________ I think she's wrong about that, given the way Arbery charged, punched and tried to take the gun. If it was a legal citizen's arrest under the old law, self defense is legitimate.
