lunging for a gun barrell is not a defense to murder. If I break into your house with a gun and you reach for it I dont get to shoot you and claim self defense. So not as simple as your small mind makes it to be.
It would be more clear to you if you could read better I said grabbing a gun ... changes the whole legal assessment You do like to conflate scenarios..... If you enter my house with a gun...I can shot you in self defense....
That's right, it is a gray area and depends on the circumstances. That's why this case could go either way.
Sorry, my glitch there, I knew the dad was in the back of the truck but thought I had it backwards yesterday after reading something had my Travis and Gregory confused. The victim also physically outclassed Jr McMichael. As I said before, when I was an anti-poaching ranger I would have read the riot act to any of my guys taking on a superior opponent solo, unlike the movies, the stronger guy nearly always wins. If you can't handle it, disengage and follow until you have back up. Threatening with a gun was not OK in this case and disproportionate. The danger of this case, like the Kenosha case is mall ninjas confusing TV with reality. The law may have been on their side in the state at the time, the fault was bringing a gun into it.
The lesson is don't inappropriately wield a gun in a tense situation. There are paths of escalation that moron mall ninjas need to have explained are a big no-no. Civilians don't threaten unarmed people in public spaces with guns, it is a serious assault and they will react to defend themselves and others. You have to have training and experience to avoid a gun tussle you ham-fistedly brought on.
Defense attorney in Arbery case describes treatment of his client as 'public lynching' "Third parties are influencing this case," Gough said, adding that the trial has been "infected by mob violence by the left woke mob." He said the media and public figures showing up outside the courtroom have negatively affected the trial. "This is what a public lynching looks like in the 21st century," Gough said.
