If "recalcitrant people" don't get vaccinated, expect a "smoldering" outbreak in the US, Fauci says https://edition.cnn.com/world/live-...c-07-19-21/h_aeab07e4e0153b179ea45d91414a3ed2 The United States can expect a “smoldering” outbreak if more “recalcitrant people” don’t get vaccinated, according to National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci. “If we don't get a significant proportion of these recalcitrant people vaccinated, you're going to be seeing a smoldering of this outbreak in our country for a considerable period of time,” Fauci told CNN’s Kate Bolduan on Monday. “Which is really unfortunate, because what everybody wants in this country – and elsewhere throughout the world – is to be able to crush this outbreak in the sense of getting the level of vaccination so high that the virus has no place to go.” “But you're not going to have that until you get a very substantial proportion of the population vaccinated, and we're not there yet,” he said. Fauci suggested that “trusted messengers” and full approval of the vaccines might persuade more people to get vaccinated. “I still maintain hope that if we can get trusted messengers, that even those people who appear to be recalcitrant now could be persuaded when their family physician, their health care provider, their trusted clergy members in the community – if they can reach out to them, not government officials, but people who are trusted in the community – I think we can sway some proportion of those people.” Fauci also said that “I believe when the vaccines get fully approved and full licensure, even though it's no doubt that they are highly effective now and very safe … you're going to see more people get vaccinated.”
Trump said to take the shot though. Trump never said don't take the shot. Why do you make things up? You're consistently wrong on everything you say.
Actually... Trump and his family were vaccinated in secrecy. Further, he and his family does not discuss publicly that they were in fact vaccinated nor has he publicly denounce his main supporters about their anti-vaccine campaign (e.g. Republican Rand, Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, and many others). Further, Trump has given several speeches in 2021 after vaccination had begun... Not once has he publicly stated at any of those speeches to tell his audience to go get vaccinated...it's your patriotic duty to protect America. A leader with moral courage would do the above. It's not Donald Trump. I'm willing to bet he never will except for that strange interview he did said "people should get vaccinated" when the question was asked in private (fox news interview on the telephone). He called the vaccines "a great and safe vaccine"..audio released at a later date. He and his fellow Republican leaders need to step up and protect Americans via PUBLICLY recommending to Americans to take the vaccine, especially at their public speeches. Just as important, they need to show themselves getting vaccinated...PUBLICLY...not in secrecy. Yet, the genie is already out of the bottle...Delta Variant is now +80% of the Covid infections and most of those hospitalized now (since vaccinations) are those that are not vaccinated in the United States. The Pandemic is now among those that are not vaccinated for whatever personal reason. They reap what they sow. Last of all, anyone that has a very large social media following...they should become vocal / public advocates of vaccination if they've been vaccinated. wrbtrader
What I said is that Trump never said don't take the vaccine. I never said anything about what you are saying. Did Trump say don't take the vaccine? Yes or no. Pretty simple question. No So who's following Trump? Sounds like Trump actually TOOK the vaccine.
