I think research is in order, rather than stating a presidential candidate is lying. Trump may not have stated those numbers as low as originally thought, it may just be the hype that says he did. But something to note, how much do we pay for illegals to get In-State Tuition, or what about all those lazy people on Well-fare, etc? If one makes just those two cuts that would significantly lower our taxes! To fix our Economy I would rather put my trust in a Billionaire, than a woman who thinks she is higher than the Law of the US Government! - Andrew
Its easy. Negative interest rates. We get paid for our debt. Jack em up(down) to minus 6%..... we'll have surplus in no time.
He's wasting time trying to appease the Boardroom Boyz. A. They don't pay 35%. B. Any tax saving they enjoy will go straight into their pockets and not a single job will be created. C. They make money, good economy or not, as demonstrated time and again, so fuck'em, they don't need any help. Trump needs to focus like a laser on the infrastructure plan and present it as the HUGE jobs creator that it is. Sell the blue collar worker on this plan, and he's in like Flint. Keep kissing the asses of the 5000 dollar suit guys and he loses.
Its the fortune 500 that does not care about taxes... this could be an investment creator, a job creator, and a tax revenue creator because of the economic expansion it could cause. Taxes can stuff economic growth. Lower taxes could start a 20 year boom like Reagan created.
I think Trump had a good speech. His tax plan will work. Too bad Whoopi won't play it up on "The View" tomorrow. It is what it is. The View... Celebrating 20 years of .... ????? Feminazi liberal brainwashing... ....and it works.
This is a generalization but... many of the really large companies and really wealthy have lawyers and accountants who find ways to shield their money from taxes. For instance there are stories that GE barely pays any taxes. Buffett's company owes the IRS billions and gets away with it. There have been articles posted here about that. But... I would bet there thousands of companies, the vast majority of small and mid tier corps wind up having to pay a lot of taxes at the rates set by Congress.
