For context, the times make the presidency and question is of whether the president meets the challenges of the times.

Washington birthed the nation in trouble and turmoil. Washington is the model of an American Patriot. Denied power and set the precedent of the presidency. The time of independence.

Lincoln maintained the union. In war and death, malice toward none, charity for all. The time of preservation.

FDR unified the country to defeat not only fascism but despair. A time of strength.

Reagan secured peace from the greatest threat to the western world in defeating the USSR. A time of freedom.

No offense to Trump but he certainly did not meet the challenge of our time (disease) and he is not among the greatest of our presidents.

If he doesn't do anything tomorrow about election integrity from Nov 3 2020 and going forward, then i might agree. He will have to run again, win, and serve again to possibly attain that status.

No. These are strawman arguments fabricated to create division in America. The economy is global, there is no changing that. We have to succeed in that environment. Nationalism is poison. Communism is a red herring and free markets have been secure for decades.

I suggest you reevaluate these issues and see if the facts agree with the narrative. You might find, if you look seriously at this stuff, that these are false arguments with the sole objective of garnering political power.

Trump inherited a strong economy and trashed it. By every economic measure and trend the economy was no different than under what Trump inherited from Obama until Trump trashed the economy with a failed response to Covid.

    For the record:

He isn't going to run again. He is 74 years old and I doubt his wife is going to put up with another round in the White House.

I think there's a strong likelihood that he will run and that he will win. ---The Democrats think so too, otherwise they wouldn't be trying to prevent him from holding office again.
