  3. TreeFrog foreseeing this issue coming. At least the threat of it from Trump.
    November 16, 2022. (below).

"So, what are the views from all the geniuses here in regard to whether Trump will run 3rd party if he is openly rejected by republicans early on?

Note, that I am not asking whether a third party can win or whether it hands the election over to the dems or any of that. We all know those issues and the blah, blah, blah that goes with them."

We are talking Trump here. Going gently into the night is not his strong point.

    What sayeth thee?"

My take is that Trump running as a independent spoiler candidate if he does not get the Republican nomination is a viable scenario... and a considerable risk for GOP. The Democrats would greatly approve of him doing this.

As you mentioned, Trump is not one to quietly go away... and running as an independent would allow him to continue his fund-raising grift.

If Ron DeSantis gets the nomination. I see President Donald Trump supporting him. Extreme liberal media doing the devils handiwork for Democrats. With all the numerous lawsuits Democrats have filed to harass President Donald Trump, I think it is too premature to talk about 2024. We are only in January 2023 and the US has a mountain of problems created by Joe Biden and Democrats. There are enough dumb US voters who think that Democrats are doing a hell of a job. We also, have to worry about massive ballot harvesting which probably, continue to work for Democrats and all the shenanigans of RINO election officials in Georgia and Arizona to name a few hurdles our side has to focus on.

  7. Yep. A careful reading of my previous posts about this third party talk about Trump, is that it will crop up (and it is) and not that he will do it. People want to go ballistic and point out that it would only hurt the dems and all of that and I absolutely know that and made those points. My point only is that the talk will crop up, not the wisdom of it.

Also, Trump would have to get on the ballots which requires a lot of gruntwork, and Trump is not up for gruntwork and seemingly not a lot of energy for even the larger work so far anyway. He has YUGE campaign funding "challenges" ahead as well.

It is too early, for everything, as you point out. Except, again, my point is only that the talk about various things will crop up. Early or not. The media goes with what they got. And so far, Trump is still their main go-to topic. They are in a bit of a dry spell. Not much Trump and no Jan 6. The Washington Post and others have even started ripping into Kamala even though 2024 is down the road. There is not much red meat out there with Trump laying so low. So they are cannibilizing the dems a bit.

We are in the election foreplay period and the happy horshit talk will start coming regardless of whether it is too early or whether it is ridiculous or not. Along with the Trump third party type talk there will be - and it has already started- happy horseshit talk about Michelle Obama running.

  8. He will follow the polls and the fundraising to see what's what. Right now both of those are "challenging." One's kneejerk action might be "well Trump is a rogue and is not bound by those factors." Not really. He is independent and rougey enough to go out on his own mission even without the media or polls on his side as he did the first time. But in his first run he started picking up support in the polls and campaign funding support as well as he went along so that worked out for him so he kept going. He would have to see those signs again as he goes along this time. Second time, he was not challenged and was the incumbent so all the support that went with that is not here for him now. So it is more like his first run, although people have more knowledge of him. He is not going to fund his own campaign, believe me.

Extreme liberal media reporting the President Donald Trump raised only $10 million after he announced he was running. They do not mention that he raised over $100 million in short order with his rallies and appearances. That is another question that will be answered the closer we get to 2024.

Since vaccines were widely available in April of 2021, Florida has had the highest Covid death rate in the nation -- both raw and per-capita. So as expected this is the leading news from Florida. It's all about narrative, not about reality.
