  1. " I feel badly for the millions of Americans who don't think you should be armed in public yet have to live their daily lives with that extra risk.[/QUOTE]

Try feeling badly for the venezuelans who shut down the zoo in Caracus because all the animals had either starved to death or had been killed and eaten by the people. You would think that the oppostion would overthrow the Socialist Workers Paradise there except it's a bitch to fight a revolution when the government is fully armed and the people are fully unarmed. You have sympathy for those people who - no surprise here- are now flooding to the U.S? Didn't think so.

In this case the deportation halt is necessary. If I'm not mistaken these Iraqi's are Christian not Muslim. Their return puts them in direct danger.

Our past fearless leader put the stops to a group of Yazidi's last year who had escaped Isis, made it all the way to California where they had Family waiting. Sent them back in harms way.

These folks need to be left here till they can return home safely, where they want to be. But not today.

You're only ready for your version of alternate reality where carrying guns makes everyone safer and US crime statistics are supposedly high because of some bs themes. When challenged on it, you go off topic and negative extremely quickly, suggesting there is a fine line between calling you a participant on here or just a pure troll.

I stand behind my opinions on here and couldn't care less what some American from Tampa (!) thinks about them. I think you are a danger to your community based on your love of guns and stated role you perceive in society. Deal with it better, if you aren't ready for this kind of contention then how can you possibly be expected to make life or death decisions concerning others in public ?

So, no statistics like you claimed. Noted. I didn't really expect you to have anything or to want to go down the path of debating it.

Oh, there's no doubt you are committed to your viewpoints. Thankfully you don't have a vote here in the United States and can't really do anything about it except haunt a US politics forum.

  5. Interesting... There's a website which specifically compares Florida and Colorado laws regarding gun use... Colorado being more restricted. (Basically, you can use deadly force on an intruder into your home but not to "stop/prevent other felonies".)

Florida allows much more latitude in the defense of yourself or someone else. This does not mean you are free to "engage at will". It takes a deep understanding and a lot of training to determine when you can intervene without significant legal/physical risk to yourself.

I know you are probably aware of this. I'm just stating it for the jackasses like Nine Ender who think we all run around like cowboys in the wild west, waiting for a shoot out at the O.K. corral.

  7. Colorado law apparently makes it a point to NOT mention exceptions to our castle doctrine laws. I guess when a gun is used outside the home, it's left to the government to subjectively determine justification.

Remember the old axiom that it is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
