I'm not. (I will NOT vote for Trump in the primary if he gets that far)

I'm not confident sufficient numbers of sheeple have seen the light and will vote against Dumbo.

I'm not confident a suitable challenger will appear in the first place.

I'm not confident congress will balance the budget .

I'm not confident the electorate will vote in a desperately needed clean sweep of congress.

In short I'm not confident in our future, although I would like to be I just don't see any reason to at the moment.

I'm sorry to say that I share your view. I think we are screwed.

Once the mob realizes they can vote themselves bread and circuses the Visigoths are not far behind them.

The fundamental flaw with Democracy is in play. I think we are at the end of western political philosophy which may be followed by some regression, a new Dark Age. Western civilization has become effeminate and weak and older systems celebrating masculinity and employing brutality may come to the foreground. Islam for instance. Or simple localized feudalism.

Suggestions for reform of democracy that would actually repair it are considered absurd, i.e., allowing only male land owners to vote etc. Our political correctness is destroying our own society. We are afraid to even speculate that a young african-american with dubious education and zero executive experience could have trouble running our country for instance.

Didn't mean to drop a thread-killer here but I am not positive about our future.

  3. Apparently either you don't live here or you live where everyone has new cars and a nice house.
Used car sales are higher than new car sales. See this:

    http://www.nada.org/NR/rdonlyres/FD...7/0/NADA_DATA_2007_UsedVehicle_Department.pdf

According to this document, dealers sold 19 million used cars, 11 or 12 million themselves, and the rest they wholesaled out, which means they sold it to used car dealers mostly, probably. Either way, that's well more than new cars by a pretty decent margin.
As for what people own, it follows the old 80/20 rule, except as of now it's more like 85/15: the top 20% have 85% of the net worth, with the remaining 80% dividing up the remaining 15% of net worth.
So yes, used cars and some clothes is about typical.
Of course, in the rest of the world the majority gets by on less than 2 bucks a day, so you know, we are doing a bit better than that.

I never said owning a used car wasn't typical. I said that only owning a used car and the clothes on your back is atypical, contrary to Ricter and other leftists, who like to paint the picture of the average american as being impoverished.

With the ever growing and far reaching intrusion into our lives by the federal government not to mention their gross incompetence how do you propose I stop them?

  7. I will... unless the alternative choice is Ron Paul, Paul Ryan, Chris Christie.. or someone else who appears to have integrity.

What we do NOT need is "yet another Washington, bidness-as-usual, lie-my-ass-off" politician.

I agree with you on that point. Although to make any real progress we need a whole new congress as well.

  9. The Tea Party is our only hope. And to save the country while there is still time (if there is indeed still time), The Tea Party needs 60 Senate seats (not just Republican seats, TEA PARTY SEATS!) and President in 2012.

What the Tea Party wants is smaller government, less government intrusion into our lives, government transparency, fiscal responsibility, adherence to the US Constitution. That's the essence of America.

Anyone who argues or acts against these principles, whether RepubliClown or DemoCrap, is anti-American and should not be serving in government.

Citizens who are anti Tea Party principles should leave... go to Cuba or Venezuela where they can be happy in their Socialism.
