I´ll be fine when left wing spanish are flushed down the toilet, although right wing ain´t worth much more over here. Curious about reading of your first hand experience with covid, as so far you are mostly boasting of numbers you read on the papers. A bit ironic when accusing someone living in what should be one of the worst places on the planet if u are so scared of those covid numbers, to talk about hearsay and what he saw on social media. U meet more than a handful of people here, and one of them probably has had covid already
Well, from the heart of the 2nd wave, I regret to inform among the infected people I know, the risk of death from boredom in quarantine seems to be the most serious, especially nasty when it comes to their covid negative close contacts quarantined along them.
Threat of quarantine for one and all close contacts is probably a bigger threat than covid to people doing efforts to stay isolated at the moment, as they risk not being to go to work and their kids not going to school for several weeks. Much less fear of the virus already, even in families I know got very scared during Spring. No surprise surveys come out with huge numbers of quarantine infractions. And we' re not only talking of 2 weeks quarantine for a condition that will be a minor to moderate incovenience for only a short time to the huge majority of people, but already 7 months and counting of a largely crushed way of life to almost the whole spanish population.
So tell us, how is it in ur neck of the woods ? Do you wear a facemask while driving ? Are previously healthy people queuing up for ventilators ? It´s internet anyway, u can be creative

What makes you think Spain is the only country that did a full lockdown and then lifted it but now are threatening restrictions on restaurants, bars with capacity limits including closing business violators that go over capacity...

Limiting households to not having others in their homes that do not live there (no restrictions for a few friends in the back yard).
    • Is Spain also threatening to close essential businesses too or only non-essential businesses ?
I must admit, never heard the Face mask requirement for someone driving their car. Therefore, I decided to look it up for Spain considering every country is different...

[Translated from a site in Spain]

If the driver is alone in his car, he doesn’t have to use a mask. However, he does have to do so if there are one or more passengers, unless of course they are members of his own family or if they all live together. In these latter cases, no more than two passengers can sit in each row of seats in vehicles that have room for up to nine places, as long as each one wears a mask.

In vans or vehicles that have only one row of seats, there can be just two passengers, as long as they wear masks and try to keep as far apart as possible.

If a driver is wearing a mask, it’s important that he do so correctly. In no way should it interfere with his vision. (This is especially true if he or she wears glasses, because they can steam up.) And care should be taken so that the mask doesn’t move or fall off, because this can be a distraction from driving.

Please verify if the above info is correct or has been updated so that its now more restrictive.

My niece's brother-in-law got it in July. Luckily for him he only spent 4 days in ICU. He has 2 teenage daughters that both tested positive. Younger one no symptoms, older like a bad cold. Oh what about their mother (?), she died 2 years ago from breast cancer.

Stating facts is not boasting. o_O

I wear a face mask when I am around other people I don't know - so no I don't wear a mask while driving.

Are previously healthy people queuing up for ventilators ? We don't que, but I'll check with my nearest hospital and get back to you.

    Any more stupid questions?

PS with the time difference currently between here and there I'd say you work the graveyard shift - which is fitting. Fries with that burger?

Nah, I made enough money from trading and other ventures to retire a little while ago already. Not much to do until grappling ( i m into this kind of social distancing) at 7pm, live in maid takes care of food and cleaning, thank u for ur concern. Might have elected a better destination than Madrid but so it is. Maid lost her job in Barcelona during the stay at home order btw, she was taking care if an old lady with serious heart problems who had to go to the hospital often. It appears she got scared of covid, stopped going to the hospital and died during that time. Another spaniard who bit the dust thanks to the very helpful lockdown.
I do not know anyone who got to ICU btw, only hearsay and older people, know several middle aged folks not particularly healthy who went through the covid at home, only one with tougher symptons than others, he had 1 tough day but he had a bronchitis at the same time and was already on Ventoline before catching covud. Know ( from gym vaguely, plus brother of friend) of middle aged folks who went to hospitals this Spring as well for short periods, none recently, with cases less severe and possibly sone better readiness from the health community. Plenty of youth catching covid with none or mild issuees, there were already 2800 classes quarantined after 2 weeks the spanish schools opened in Seotember. My son is still waiting for his neighbour friend to come out of quarantine, in his 3rd week now, feeling fine but still tested positive last wek end. Whole household quarantined while the others tested negative. Not big deal, heard of more people dying recently of other causes, several linked to the lockdown.
Know of plenty of hardship caused by the lockdown that s for sure
Know more people going to the hospital after getting hurt in the gym, usually sparring, during that time btw, some went more than once, pretty funny when I think about it. The gyms haven t even been open long and we re not that many there. So many folks are now low on testosterone and afraid of relatively benign things.

Let me help u about the hospital question, previously healthy people are not queuing for ventilators. Previously healthy people overwhelmingly are healthy after easily beating covid

Oh....lol there is plenty of liberals..leftist...and democrats not taking responsibility. Protestors wearing masks? Plenty aren’t. Those (At least some) that do are likely doing so to hide their identity.

Nope, sorry the blame lies with the people on both sides.

I went to my bank the other day to get cash out the ATM machine...

I saw a sign on the lobby door that states...

Translated from French to English - Mask Covering Face Not Allowed Inside Lobby. :D

Yeah some place won’t attend you if you wear a mask. And they will tell you so.

Those who refuse to follow basic care wearing a mask in public, keeping distances and avoiding public places are claiming individual freedom. Yet, by not following these simple measures, they are prolonging containment rules and making this whole mess last longer than it needed to be in the first place.

Also, those that don't follow the health guidelines prolong restrictions on those that do follow the health guidelines.

Just as disturbing, the misguided think that restrictions should not be on the low risk folks when in reality its the low risk folks that's more often than not causing problems for the high risk folks.

Here in my community, they tried giving out fines to those that refuse to wear a face mask but that didn't go so well...didn't deter them. Result...now we have more restrictions on bars, cafes and such where these individuals were violating the health guideline rules.

Yet, the good thing is that its targeted because its the bars, cafes and such that have been violating the capacity rules and then then individuals were returning back to their home infecting a family member that's either an elderly or someone with an underlying medical condition.

The 1st wave was mainly elderly homes and the 2nd wave has been mainly community spread.
